California drought

As a Californian, I know we've had drought cycles over the years, and (Hopefully) we've all learned to conserve water as a matter of course at any given time. I took special note of the 3 photos at Lake Shasta, remembering house-boating there in the late 70's and the lake looked much the same at that time, too. It's cyclical...other years we passed it and commented how good it was looking. That said, rain is always welcome!

This is our local dam. I have never seen it this way in twenty years.
We do have some water again now, but I expect it won't be long this summer till it's dry again.

I have heard about it of course but seeing these pictures really makes it hit home, and the idiocy of fracking in that environment beggars belief.
