haha, Pari, thanks for the laugh. And for some of the pictures, I totally admire how dedicated those real photographers are in order to have a "perfect shot". Nothing comes easy, as they say!
There should be a new Summer Olympic sport. Photography Gymnastics. I'm guilty of contorting myself into many of the same poses featured in the webpage. And that's why I carry Tylenol whenever I shoot. Invariably I'm going to hurt something.. LOL
I see myself so may of these pictures.
I almost fell off a mountain in Alabama and would have if another photographer hadn't grabbed me.
I climbed over the safety rail at the Grand Canyon and climbed out on an outcropping to get a better sunrise picture.
I don't know why the elks at Yellowstone and the moose with her calf at Lake Tahoe didn't attack me. I was way too close to them. And then there was the mother bear in Gatlinburg that swiped the air with her paw right were I had been standing moments before. So much for flash shots of bears in the dark.
I rarely go out to take photos when my clothes aren't dirty from climbing up on things, or laying, sitting, or kneeling on the ground. At the Birmingham Zoo I was laying on my stomach shooting under the fence when a running child rounded the corner and stepped on me. I laughed. The child laughed. The mother apologized and fussed at her child. lol I tried to explain it was my fault for laying down right in way. rofl
I'd love to see the shots that resulted from all those wacky poses! I've been known to get on the ground for a shot but have yet to hide in the water...
lol
i can relate
those are great!!! thanx for sharing

sometimes i feel like such a gomer..
I am such a geek when it comes to photos, and im very picky, lol :P
I won't feel so stupid taking pictures now xD

I've done a few of these!
it's only funny because it's true :P
Thanks for sharing!
I have some funny photos of myself in weird positions while shooting. It's not fun unless you're rolling around on the ground, getting dirty, right?!
@phung I don't believe the lion one either. Otherwise someone should have told him that's what zoom lenses are for!!
Thanks for posting this. I am still laughing!! Only photographers understand it though. Everyone else just gives us the eyebrow.
