Avoiding Blue Snow!

Hi guys, dunno if everyone else is having all the snowfalls we're having in the UK, but if you're out there photographing the winter wonderland, it's worth reading this article:

I had this problem taking pics of snow at the start of the year for 365 for this reason, and decided to see what caused it and whether it was fixable - turns out if you just set your white balance setting to 'Shade' that gets rid of most of it :D Hope my snow pics will turn out better this year now I know that! So thought I would pass the tip on. Wrap up warm out there!

use a strong yellow filter works nicely too... but no one uses filters any more :(

You can also Set a custom white balance of the snow, or shoot RAW, then white balance off the snow in post processes.

Yellow snow aside, my point and shoot has a snow setting. Easy peasy.
