Very inspiring, I wish I was as adept at HDR. It's still a bit of a mystery to me, I can only get a nice HDR by accident :-)

Some incredible stuff Dean. I love to dabble with HDR, but I am not expert in the art, might be tempted by his HD video tutorial.

I have to admit total ignorance on this subject. Do you use functions on your camera or in Photoshop?

@nodecaff thank you!

@omabluebird depends on your camera - I've done it with a point and shoot by setting in on manual and changing the exposure's - taking a pic at each level ... very basic ... then opened photoshop (I have CS5) and in there under File - Automate - Merge to HDR ... Don't know how to do it in 'manually' (with layers or masks - cause I suck at CS or other editing) and certainly not managed to do it with my Canon 5D - at least not well enough.

@omabluebird P.S. at the bottom of the page given is a tutorial to click on

@omabluebird As Carlita has said, it depends.

I am certainly no expert but I have experimented wtih some software called Photomatix Pro 3.0 - this requires three images taken with different exposures...normal and +/- a few stops (which if you shoot RAW you can just create from a single shot).

The software then does all the work. It doesn't seem (so far) to give me the dramatic colour effects I see in many HDR images but I'm still learning. :)
