So I haven't downloaded pictures to my project lately and there is ONE reason.. something is wrong with my camera.
I brought a refurbish canon rebel xs and yesterday after taking picture I forgot to turn off the camera, but when I was going to take picture again 10 min later I turn the camera off and then On again and there was a message in the screen that it says "card not formatted with this camera". Next thing I know I lost all the pictures. Does this have happen to anyone??? Is it the memory? Is it the camera?? what can I do so I can believe in my camera again ( and not lose more pictures again).
I had a card go bad once. The bad card says could not format this card or something like that. I think your card might be bad. Did you try another card in your camera? Did you try putting the card into a computer to see if you could get the photos to download on the computer?
The thing is that I already formatted the card with my camera maybe 3 times since I have the camera and have taken a lot of pictures. The message appeared yesterday out of the blue. I'll try another memory card today, I am just scare that i could be the camera :(
If you have a card reader separate from your camera, I would pull the card out and try and access it through a designated reader, not the camera. You might be able to save the photos. After that, I'd probably look at working with a different card, see if you get the same error there.
