What was your inspiration For Joining 365?

June 18th, 2010
I joined 365 Project because of this photo stream: http://www.flickr.com/photos/laserbread/sets/72157612019716787/ . I was delighted and amazed by how the artist pushed to come up with something cool every day. Those creations are beyond what I currently have time and energy for, but I thought I could handle a photo a day. I found 365 Project through a Google search and jumped in, even though I'd missed the beginning of January. I've made this year's project iPhone only, since it's currently my only working camera. I've recently shot with a friend's DSLR...and boy, do I have a lot to learn about photography. I'm just over a third of the way through this project and I'm learning, growing, and meeting some really great people along the way. How about you?
June 18th, 2010
My sister (who doesn't do 365) posted a link to the site on facebook. I'd purchased a DSLR in October, and 365 seemed like the perfect opportunity to try something new. Since January, I've been pretty consistent about taking a photo a day, and it has improved my skills considerably. Along the way, I've fallen in love with photography. Thanks, 365!

I was invited by a friend. I am an amateur photographer, doing it all as a hobby. I love looking at photographs that other people take because you can learn so much from them. There are so many different techniques and approaches to taking good photographs, and a project like 365 gives one worldwide exposure to a vast array of indivual preferences, techniques, and so many of these individuals have such great talent! And the best thing about it is that everyone so far has been absolutely wonderful. I love learning new techniques and I know all I have to do is ask, knowing that someone in this great community will probably have an answer for me. It is hard sometimes to get out there every day, but this kind of motivates you to do your best. Thanks for the discussion suggestion. I am looking forward to what others have to say.

Here is how I explained my project when I first started it on Facebook:

"A while ago I was listening to CBC radio when they discussed a guy who took a polaroid per day from 1979 until 1997 (when he died of cancer); http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jamie_Livingston.
His photos can be seen here: http://photooftheday.hughcrawford.com/
Then, this week, I heard a woman on the radio who spoke about her own project 365; one photo per day for a full year ( http://danigirl.ca/blog/project-365/ )
It might be tough to do at times, but since I take so many photos anyway, I thought it might be a neat project to undertake.
So I will take one photo per day & endeavour to post them in a timely matter in this album.
Let me know what you think!"
June 18th, 2010
A friend of mine did this project last year. I remember seeing a photo of hers during the summer, thinkin "I want to do that. I hope I remember in January." On New Year's Eve, she posted her 365th picture to facebook. I'm so happy she did. Starting Jan. 1, I just did a picture-a-day on my own and posted to facebook. I had no idea there was a website til about Feb. So why did I start this project...figured I take a billion photos nearly everyday anyway, so why not? Before joining this site, I could really care less about what I posted. Now, I feel like I have to get better than my last photo. Oh, the pressure! I've slacked off a bit in my participation with the website and hope to find an even balance to my project and life outside the project.

I have been interested in photography for many years. I bought a Nikon FM in the early 80's and had a lot of fun with that. From there I bought a Canon Rebel x and really enjoyed taking pictures. But the processing was so expensive. Still it was a great creative outlet. Then the Rebel started having problems and I started thinking digital. But just went with a Nikon Point and shoot. Loved the ability to shoot and delete so quickly. From there I got the Canon XSi with the two kit lenses. And dang, what a blast I have had. And so I was taking pictures mainly of my band and other bands we shared stages with and I was fortunately introduced to Malena through a band connection and found her to have many of the same tastes in music and weird stuff and, who shares an absolute love of taking photographs. We have become friends through our photography and band gigs and chatting on line. One day she told me abut this site that her good friend Karen who told her about. And I checked out 365Project and was so very amazed at the many fantastic photographic artists here. I signed up and have been trying to stay true to the idea behind the project. So far I'm at about a 98% success rate. What a great site. I am very much enjoying the challenge and it has been a learning experience as well. I have met with other 365 members for photo outings and traded tricks and tips. Its a great thing. I'm enjoying myself Thanks to Ross for the great site, and thanks Brad for the opportunity to tell our stories.

I found out from a friend on DeviantART who posted a journal about the project.
I decided to start it because it's giving me something to do. It's been a while since I've been really, truly motivated to do anything artistic or musical (with the exception of my drawing class at uni). The lack of motivation is really getting me down and I think it's my own lack of motivation and inspiration is what inspired me to do this. It's something worth working for. At the end of it all I'm going to print out all my photographs and stick them in a sort of visual diary along with all the others that I took but didn't make it to my gallery. It's not a hard task for me. I keep my digi cam in my handbag, I take photos everywhere I go and of things I see that make me happy and I post them up here and on Facebook. The end product will be something I can be proud of and look back on in case I lose my motivation or need inspiration.
June 18th, 2010
I was doing my own 365 project before I knew this was here. I've done this for a few years now. When I saw there was actually a website to allow others to see the shots, I signed up! Glad I did! :)
June 18th, 2010
A friend of mine on Facebook is doing it, and I saw his post. I checked it out, and here I am. I have always enjoyed photography, and I got a DSLR a few years ago. Purchasing that really got me more interested in photography. I wish I had more time to dedicate to it, but I just don't. When I read about this, I looked at this as a challenge and a great way to learn from others so I can improve my skills. I have successfully taken pictures everyday, and I have uploaded them faithfully. I love looking at everyone's photos, and sometimes it can be a little intimidating when I see the advanced level of photography on here! There is some awesome talent on here. I am also doing this to keep a visual diary of my life for a year.!I love it on here, and I just love all you guys!

When my daughter was home over the Christmas holidays, she suggested I might enjoy posting pictures to 365 as an outlet for my lifelong interest in photography. I'd resisted her previous suggestion to sign up on Facebook, but thought that here, I'd find people with similar interests to mine. I had *no idea* at the outset that I'd find such involvement with everyone! While I'd love to learn the new techniques I see people using here, there's no time left in the day to practice, as I'd rather look at photos, and I love exchanging comments. Consequently, my technique level hasn't been stepped up, but I take pains now to make my photo choices interesting, and I try to take well-composed pictures. Much to the credit of the 365 community, I'm having, overall, one of the nicest, fullest, busiest and most creative years I've had in a long while! Thanks for the suggestion, Heather! http://365project.org/biggirlart/profile

365 is now a family affair in that my daughter, Ashley, signed up, too http://365project.org/lulu/profile

Thanks for the great thread, Brad!

I'm Karen and I live in Southeast Michigan. I'm 51 and have 2 kids and 4 grandkids, and one neurotic furkid. I've been taking pictures my whole life, on every occasion and for any reason, or for no reason at all. I've had so many cameras over the years and I still use some of them on occasion. My two main cameras right now are my Canon Rebel XTi and my Canon A530. My hubby got me the Rebel for Christmas in 2007 and in Sept. of 2008 I began taking photography classes at a local adult ed. school. My work had given us $100 each to take any kind of class we wanted to and I was thrilled when I found those. I'm on my 5th or 6th round of classes and still having tons of fun. I've been raising butterflies for quite a few years now and am happy to have shared a few photos of them here on 365.

My daughter Dawn had the app on her facebook and I kept seeing pictures every day so I asked her about it. It sounded like great fun so I joined.

http://365project.org/happilybarefoot/365

Of course when I joined I wanted more of my IRL (in real life) friends to join in on the fun! Some of those friends told their friends. I posted it to my photography group a few times and mentioned it to facebook friends as well.

Malena was the first to join:

http://365project.org/malena/365

Then she told her friend Brad, who I had met before at a cemetery shoot:

http://365project.org/yellowmolley/365

Then a friend from my mom group and photography group joined:

http://365project.org/chinamom22/365

Then some of my photography classmates joined:

http://365project.org/els719/365

http://365project.org/judgil/365

http://365project.org/rtjane63/365

A friend from the old Yahoo 360 and now a facebook friend joined:

http://365project.org/jim12957/365

This thread could easily turn into "I told 2 friends, then she told 2 friends, and so on, and so on." I'm constantly telling anyone who will listen about what great fun it is and hoping more will join.

I love how the site makes me think about using my camera every day!

Thanks Ross for the awesome site!!
June 18th, 2010
My friend, who is also on this site, Jessica Gates had started this project and I kept seeing her posts update on my Facebook home page.
Now, another friend had talked about doing something like this (not through a website) a couple years back and I thought to myself "boy, that would probably be a lot of fun!" That was as far as it ever got that year...
When I saw all Jessica's posts and looked through what this site was about and how it all worked, I thought "this year I'm going to do this!" So, I signed up, and started snapping shots. I didn't start until the second week in April, but I am having so much fun and also meeting so many great spirited people, I can't wait to see what inspires me from day to day.
I also am not using anything fancy, just my Canon P&S. It's the only camera I have that consistenly works, and I am learning so much...hoping to keep learning more. Great topic Brad, this is great to see what inspired everyone to start up their projects!
June 18th, 2010
My daughter heard about the project, started doing it and her enthusiasm was contagious. Now I'm hooked! I have only been participating since maybe March, so I have some photos to make up.
I love this because it gives me something to look forward to each day. If I am too busy, I always have a photo that I haven't posted yet. Cheating? I don't think so. To me just posting a picture that I like every day is what it's all about. I just love this project and hope it goes on and on..
June 18th, 2010
A facebook friend who I know only through the internet was posting her 365 project on facebook and I noticed her pictures. I always like to do some kind of daily art project and had not started one this year (and it was already March) so I joined in the fun.
June 18th, 2010
A FB friend had asked in her status who wanted to join her for the challenge of taking a photo a day for a year and I thought it sounded like fun. I take some pictures almost every day anyways, so a little motivation would probably get me to doing it everyday (I only miss a day here & there). Searched FB and found the page for this website on there and then came here and signed up. I started my project on January 1st and am using it as a sort of photo-journal of my family's life. It'll be fun to look back on it in January 2011 to see how my kids have grown and remember all the fun things we did thoughout the year.
June 18th, 2010
My 13 year old daughter and a few of her friends were doing a "fake 365 progect" and she told me about it. I thought it sounded very interesting and theraputic so I looked up the "real 365 project" and joined.

I only use my cell phone to take pictures and I only text my pictures in. I don't edit my photos and I try to capture reality as best as I can. I am using my project as a theraputic tool to connect with my daily life.

note - because 365 project does not have a privacy setting my daughter and her friends were not allowed to join.

June 18th, 2010
I kept seeing one of my facebook friends updating hers and I quite liked the idea. Then I had to stop doing something else and wanted something to fill the gap, so this was it. I've always been intersted in photography though, think I get that from my Dad. I'm so glad I found this site - the amount of "friends" I've made through it make it so much better than just doing it through facebook or something like that.
June 18th, 2010
supposedly a gift for my "friend"... show him how i think of him 365 days... now we are friends without the quote marks. but since i liked the idea, i still continue 365 even though we're already done.

but given the chance, i'd like to change my username... haha
June 18th, 2010
One of my friends started doing it and I thought it was a fab idea, and was finally the kick up the bum I needed to trade my OM-10 for a digital! Just as well, seeing as the OM-10 gave up the ghost but a few weeks later XD
June 18th, 2010
My inspiration? I seem to remember reading someone's blog and they mentioned 365. I took a look and thought what a great idea. A photo diary for a year of your life. And, if you want, its free.
I have always loved photography. My Mum bought me a B & W polaroid back in '73. Many cameras have been and gone but it has always been a hobby. I am so glad digital came along as then l could cancel my second mortgage l had with Jessops, a photo processing shop!
i am only 4% into the project and l think it could be easy to get a bit down hearted at times when you see the high standard of a lot of people on here. I aim to stick to the rules. A photo a day, every day, for a year. I also aim to take that photo on the day. Updating it might be a day or three late but l need to go away for a while and enjoy this sunshine!
I love the 'community' atmosphere on here. Everybody seems so friendly and supportive. I wish the big wide world could be like this too.
Thanks Ross for a terrific site and giving me a kick up the backside to enjoy a life long hobby again.
June 18th, 2010
My friend Odessa started one on her Facebook page. I loved the idea so I googled it to see if it were a real thing or just some idea she came up with and stumbled on the site. I've always loved photography and this was a chance to grow and learn from others and through my own daily practice.
June 18th, 2010
Facebook friends who where posting their pics planted the idea in me. I started to ask questions and found this site.

I have kept Ansel Adams calandars for about 15 years now because I write all kinds of bits of information on it and tape papers, ticket stubs, etc, like a journal. I decided to document the months via the 365project, print the month out and tape it to the calander each month as a visual to go along with the calandar. (We need a simple way to print out the months on this site. hint, hint.... )

Another compelling reason is I take pictures weekly for my cooking challenge on Facebook. I take pictures for my gardening page on Facebook. I also participate in a monthly photowalk where I live and post pictures on Flickr and Facebook. These have kept me pretty busy taking pictures but I found that at times I really wanted to take different kinds of pictures and share them but they didn't fit what I was already doing. This gives me the perfect opportunity to explore the more creative side of photography while learning how to use my camera and photoshop. This is the perfect creative outlet for me. :-)
June 18th, 2010
i was on flickr, but didn't like how hostile it felt and as i was browsing through i saw people kept mentioning 365 project, and so i googled it and came across the site, and i absolutely LOVE it! everyone is so friendly and welcoming unlike flickr. one reason i chose to do it is because i am taking a gap year from school and university, and i still wanted to have a target and intention for taking photos!
June 18th, 2010
I watch Gutterface on deviant art and saw that they had joined the site so I checked it out. I waited a while until I joined in. I basically joined to have a hobby that will work towards gaining technical skills that will benefit my "career." I'm a visual arts major and have been into photography since I was 15 (starting out with a point and shoot) . I'm hoping to meet fellow photographers and making some friends as well.
June 18th, 2010
a friend of mine was starting a project and so i jumped in and join the fun. as i start uploading, i came upon realization why not i do this project as sort of my development stage in photography. little did i know this project would be more exciting through meeting fellow 365'ers who are friendly and kind enough to share their knowledge in photography as well as their kind comments in my gallery plus the fact people in here are so artistic and talented. i believe ill learn a lot in here. and meet new friends.

not to forget this site rocks. its like tweeter and flickr at the same time! i call it twickr. peace. :-)
June 18th, 2010
Great question, Brad. And let me say I have great appreciation for your work and your way of seeing the world expressed in your comments. I started my 365 on Facebook after I got a new DSLR for Christmas--well in January. Someone mentioned there were 365 projects going on so I googled and found this sight and I am so glad I did. I started here sometime in March but used all those photos from January forward. My Facebook friends still see my posts every day, but the 365 community has a much deeper interest in the photography side of things. There is a great mix of wonderful talent, kind people, interesting ideas, and people who are just nice and chronicling their year. It's all good and keeps me motivated to become a better photographer.
June 18th, 2010
I'd heard of other people doing 365 projects and thought it might be fun. I figured it would be a good way to push my photographic boundaries, learn to see the world better and try some new techniques. I saw an old friend from high school ( http://365project.org/michellejoy/365) posting her 365 photos on Facebook, so I decided to check out the site. I've been hooked ever since, and I just reached 100 photos today! I'm so glad to have found such a creative, inspiring, supportive and friendly group to share in this journey. I've already learned so much and look forward to learning more!

June 19th, 2010
One of my best friends, Brittany Erwin, introduced me to the site while I was at her house one day. She said she had to take and upload her photo for 365 today, and I was very confused. She showed me the website, and here I am! :D
I've always been interested in photography, though. This is the first time I've ever made a habit of it, though :)

I have always loved photographs; all photographs tell a specific story, and with a little imagination can speak volumes. One picture can tell many different stories to many different people.
I started out with one of the very first Point-and-Shoot digital cameras Sony made back in 1994. It used a 3.5" floppy, and could take about 16 pictures before changing disk. Man, we have really progressed. My newest camera, the Canon 7D, is the latest super picture taking machine by Canon. It has everything. My entry into SLR's was the Rebel, 4 years ago. I stumbled across a young man doing project 365 on Flickr about a year ago and was immediately hooked. At the time I was looking to upgrade to a professional grade SLR. After learning more about the Project, I thought it would be a great adventure and a challenge. Currently, I am on day 26, and it has already presented me with some challenge. I am loving it, even though my pictures are no where as good or as interesting as a lot of other streams I see. That was another reason I wanted to do the project. I want to expand my ability, my creativeness, and my set ups.
I am a Soldier in the US Army, currently deployed to Iraq. I bet some people think it would be a breeze to capture life over here, since a Soldier's life is always interesting and full of adventure. I promise you that isn't the case. There are many days that are interesting and full of great subjects, but there are just as many that are slow and quite boring. Some days, we are so busy that I have come close to missing that day. I can't let that happen.
I don't have but one follower, and I hope that gets better. I welcome any and all criticism and hope all of you out there enjoy this with me.
June 19th, 2010
What a wonderful question, Brad! So, I decided to answer it in my post and picture for today.

I'm addicted to websites that let you "create an account"...

So much "membership" fills my need for a sense of belonging...
June 19th, 2010
I actually tried this on Flickr a few years ago, but failed after about 50-60 some days. A few friends decided to do this and made a post about it on another site, so I checked out the site, fell in love, and decided to try again. So far, so good!
June 20th, 2010
My co-worker, Cindy List, kept posting pictures of fabulous food and I thought she'd joined a cooking club/site. I asked her about it, she told me to take a look, and here I am. It's been challenging sometimes but it's made me look at the world a whole new way. I've been so inspired by what I've seen and it's made me want to learn more.
June 20th, 2010
I kept seeing my friend chris' pictures up on facebook and thought they were awesome so i asked him what 365 was for and when he told, i knew I wanted to do it. I also inspired at least 3 other people to join since then

June 20th, 2010
I was googling for pictures and came across one which was someone doing a 365 blog and I just googled the project and joined! ALL HAIL GOOGLE!
June 20th, 2010
I saw this as an app on my itouch, and thought it was an amazing idea.

In the past, with 1 year milestones I've always been amazed how things change in a year. What better way to remember the year with pictures.

I've been in love with photography for many years but the idea of taking one photo a day didn't come to mind until I saw Rosie Hardy's 365 Project on flickr ( http://www.flickr.com/photos/rosie_hardy). I was really inspired to try it out..

To me this has been a learning experience.. I have tried to find beauty in everything I see so I can take photos which I can be proud of.. my family and husband have been very supportive so far.

Before Im just looking for photographs by my friends and tru the internet, just a few weeks before my friend ( http://365project.org/gmacomics/profile) ask me to join this site in order for me to enhance my skills in photography im just new into it and now I love to take pictures from time to time.
June 21st, 2010
My husband, who is the talented and technical photographer in the family ( http://365project.org/johalmm/profile), jokingly invited me to take the 365 Challenge after he joined. And since I never back down from a challenge...here I am.
I have more concepts in my head than technical knowledge but I'm learning as I go. So far, I have found that this Project has kept me from going creatively bonkers (I'm a writer, but I don't get much writing done during the summer when our children are off school!)
This is a very creative and talented community and I'm enjoying getting to know everyone through their photographs.
June 21st, 2010
First I posted on my blog for the 365project. Then I googled and found this site.
June 21st, 2010
One of my Myspace friends is doing "Project 366" and I thought it was interesting so I Googled it and found this site :) I looooved the idea and was impressed by the talent I saw on here so I thought I'd give it a shot.
June 22nd, 2010
I've always wanted to keep a journal or diary, but I never seemed to start. I'd look at the beautiful journals at the book store, but I never bought one. I knew myself ... I'd have that blank journal forever and never write a word. So when a facebook friend of mine that I knew in highschool posted her daily 365 photo on Facebook, I thought that sounded like something I might actually do! And Wa La! - here I am. Totally amateur at photography, but creating a photo journal for myself and my family. I think it would be fun to have all of the pictures from the year printed in a book. When I make it to 365 photos, I'll have to look into that.

What I didn't expect is how friendly and supportive everyone is on this site. Thank you for that! The level of talent and skill is amazing. It makes me try to take better pictures each day. I am definitely more aware of my surroundings these days and I'm having fun looking for photo opportunities.
June 22nd, 2010
A friend of mine told me it would be a good way to retrain my brain, practice, and force myself to be comfortable with putting something "out there" for viewing and/or critiquing.

So I suppose a painter inspired me to be proactive and reclaim something I had lost.
June 22nd, 2010
I only signed up last night. I wanted to use this really as snapshots and a scrapbook I could keep for ideas and inspiration, although it's nice sharing photos I've taken that I like too each day, so dunno :) Might start a second one for the inspiration/scrapbook/journal :D
June 22nd, 2010
I "Liked" David Lebovitz on Facebook, and the day after, he linked this site. I love to take photos of my family and especially food so I was very excited to try this.
Soon my DSLR arrived in the mail, and I've been able to take nicer photos. I am new to the world of photography and am trying to learn and become more creative. This site is truly an inspiration. So many folk with great folks with amazing photos. I feel way out of my league, but I will keep going!

365 drew my attention through twitter. I joined because I need a creative outlet and something positive and fun to focus on each day. Capturing moments with photos has been a love of mine for a long time but this project has provided me with a reason and purpose to this each day. It has also helped me to learn more about editing pics and lighting and the use of the camera buttons---still some foreign to me but less than when I started in January. I learn a great deal from all of you and the photos/stories that you share.
June 29th, 2010
i saw the app on my ipod touch :D i thought it was a good idea so i looked it up on the internet
June 29th, 2010
Im in the art program at my school and they had a former student who was doing this project come to talk to us about it, she said how it helped inspire new art, become more creative and a better photographer. I thought it would help me alot, and i really love doing it!
June 30th, 2010
I decided to do a Project 365 because I like photography (of the everyday compact-camera kind) and wanted to see if I could commit to what really is quite a mammoth endeavour.

I came to this site quite late as I changed my workflow which was becoming impossible to manage. I wasn't using a dedicated photo or 365 platform and spent too much time uploading to a blog which involved creating separate posts for each day/photograph but receiving no feedback from anyone, so it became a bit of a drag. This site has made it much easier and it's also meant that I'm enjoying the project a lot more. It's nice to see comments on my pics and I feel like I'm more of a community now than I was before.
July 3rd, 2010
I have a friend who was on facebook doing a 365 project and i thought about starting one myself. I googled 365 projects to get an idea of what to do and the rules and such. That is when i found this site. As easy as this site made it i was positive this was what i wanted to do. Especially since it is an absolutely great way to improve your photography and to meet cool people.
July 4th, 2010
I joined because of Jill Montes
And because I husband got me a Nikon D3000 for our anniversary!
July 5th, 2010
I joined after a coworker mentioned this project. She realized how much I love photography and when she told me about this project, I quickly signed up and started taking more pictures..I love the idea of doing something like this and improve my photography skills as well as being part of this incredible community!

As someone who has always been into photography but dabbled in sculpture, textiles, and most recently painting, it was pure "liipgloss" that inspired, a 365 starr!
My main inspiration is that I have family and friends all over the world, and very little close by! Though 365 I can show those whom I have not seen in over 20 years what I really love and inspires me! We may not be able to see those who we love or whom mean the world, but we can show them what we mean, what we are about, and what inspires us to battle on through the life without them.
I am twisted and imaginative and those have always known me will understand my art! xx

I returned recently from a family gathering – and after review was very disappointed in the photos I took. Part (only part) of my problem is familiarity with my camera. I get it out so seldom that I struggle with the settings, can’t remember what the little icons stand for, am unused to thinking about the ‘frame’ of the photo, and…..well, it’s not the camera that is the problem – it’s me.

So I decided that I need to carry it with me always- get more comfortable with it. I have no desire to become a photographer, but I DO want to have photo memories of my friends and family and events.

My friend, Cheryl (an excellent photographer and videoblogger), suggested that I join this project, assuring me that all skill levels are represented here, and that the directive of taking one photo each day would augment my short term goal.

Now that I’m here, I’m finding the idea of a photo diary intriguing.

I saw an article on the BBC website about a journo taking a snap a day to mark the end of Kodachrome 64 film.

It got me thinking and as I wanted to get more into photography I though this would help push me. I had a flick through the web and settled on this site - and damn pleased I did too :-)

i had been invited by a couple of friends who are already on 365.... as they both know I also like to take photos of just about anything that speaks to me....

NOT BEING A REAL PHOTOGRAPHER, just a HOBBYIST - I was intimidated at first... especially knowing the kind of photos my friends take... and seeing all others.... But then I realuized that this is such a GREAT outlet for me... to share what I like and what makes me happy on a day to day basis.... and if I can just make one person smile or feel something with my photos - then am already HAPPY.... it's the little things that matters after all,....

I wanted to celebrate my first SLR! Nikon d5000, it's beautiful, and very deserving of celebrating.

I have always loved photographs; all photographs tell a specific story, and with a little imagination can speak volumes. One picture can tell many different stories to many different people. I love taking pictures and when you do that you can explore and see stuff you have never seen before!

My friend Chris started a photo-a-day on livejournal ( http://photoaday.livejournal.com/profile) back in 2003, so taking his idea, I started mine is September of 2004. I never had any intention of stopping after a year. The goal is just to see how long I can keep it up. Chris kept it up for just shy of 4 years. In about a month I'll be finishing up year 6.

I have been experiencing some photographers block lately and thought a 365 project could force me to get out there and think creatively

A friend in work told me about this site as she knew i liked taking photographs and i checked it out. i normaly would not join somthing like this as i am really such an ameteur, and do not still understand how to use my canon40D, which my husband bought me. looking at the wonderful photos on this site made me realise one thing, i am looking and trying to hard. there is a photograph to be taking every where. My day is work, home and bed and i would have time in the weekends, but this site is showing me i dont need to leave my house or garden and i had forgotten that. i do get a bit intimidated when i see the work on the site but i will not give up and will try harder to use my imagination
from now on. I could not wipe the smile off my face when i went on the site and somone had left a comment and said my photograph was nice. it was a wonderful feeling.I love the idea of this site and i tell everyone i know to check it out as well.
