Child photo's are difficult to begin with, (for me at least) add to that a child that doesn’t want her picture taken and the quick movements of a child playing and you have a recipe for a headache, or a twisted ankle while you try to chase the kids around.
I honestly don't think there is much that can be done to improve this photo. It's very over exposed and having been taken through glass really diminished the quality. The angle doesn’t help IMO and neither does what I am assuming is the door frame. The only thing that I think can improve this is to get outside with her and her down to her level. She may not like it at first but I think she'll get tired of running away from the camera and maybe even embrace the idea.
Try involving her in the photo process maybe get her to ride her bike by you really fast while you try to get some panning shots Or try to freeze her in mid air by having her jump off of something (a low object of course) Perhaps even have her involve her friends as well and have a action photo shootout.
but i agree with the above
overexposed and lacking contrast
i would say there's too much wall in the composition
and eye contact would have drastically improved it
it's hard to know what's going on in this photo...
Thank you for you criticism. Now I have some ideas in mind for the next time I take pictures. I knew as soon as I took the picture it was over exposed because i went from shooting indoors to outdoors without changing anything on my camera. I wish I could go back and redo that . And yes now that you mention it I should have done something to get less of the door frame in the picture. By contrast , what do you mean? (my brain is tired and having a hard time comprehending)
Unfortunately I dont have even a computor yet. I'm using my parents to do my 365 project. Right now I have to try to get it right in camera. Someday I hope to have a laptop and photoshop for editing.

just my 2 cents!! keep on shooting!!! :)
do you edit your photos?
if you use any editing program there should be a contrast adjustment
basically its what gives photos "POP!"
photography is al about learning and improving - keep it up :)
