Is the theme the full quote? "Not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted"
What about something like a concept/emotion/moral that you value? For example loyalty? It's something that counts (i.e. has value to you) but can't be counted. Or another idea would be a group of inanimate objects? They can be counted but they can't count.
Now that I'm thinking about it I'm coming up with a heap of ideas. Maybe I should enter ;-)
This is going to be controversial but what about a cemetery? If nothing else it will get people to think but could anger some people. I like shock factors though.
Yesss DPC, hahaha. Well now the contest is past deadline it really doesn't matter. I didn't find anything relating to the quote and I didn't want to rush.
Next one is either on a man made object or a nature made object
I know the feeling.... I have lots of ideas but winter is kind of putting a damper on things..... not to mention work..... The stuff around the house is getting kind of boring.
I would probably go with a concept or feeling. First thing I thought of was a very old person sitting on a bench holding hands with a little kid (maybe 3 or 4) and having them look at each other, smiling.
James,
The first thing that came to my mind (man made, or nature made) was a tree house. Or perhaps a house, building, temple built into the side of a cliff.
You get the picture (each relies on the other for its completeness)!
to me i think love vs money... maybe money on a table, or coins, or bills that there is no money to pay - and people hugging or kissing in the backhground? love means the most and cannot be tangibly "counted" or measured but it counts the most....

But to be different, I'm going to say use something unconventional...like an abacus lol
hope it helped!
