Im new here... Just thought id say a quick hi.
I'm Melissa. I live in Country Vic, Australia and am a single mum to a delightful little 10 month old girl. She really is the sun in my day!
I started this project for a few reasons. Firstly I would love to improve and grow my photography skills. I'm hoping to learn and have a stab at a bit of editing. Have no idea where to start though! All constructive critism and handy hints welcome!!
My main reason however is to document all that is good, rich and positive about mine and my daughters world. Being a single mum can be a tough gig... my aim is to create a collection of photographic evidence of the positive and good aspects of our everyday life.
My first few pics have been whatever i've been able to scrape together (and a couple that weren't taken on that day. I started a bit late, but wanted the project to start on the 1st Jan)
Being a single parent is a hard gig and I love your motivation for this project. I look back at all the photos I took of my daughter and I am so glad I took soo many. :)
Its a great way to document your life and it is something that can be passed on to your children.
