Bamboo tablet

January 30th, 2012
Hey guys!
I am just starting to try and learn my Bamboo tablet. Does anyone have any tips or websites to use to customize it for PS? Or just any helpful tips in general? Thanks!! This thing has quite a learning curve! :-)

@aes981 I don't have a bamboo, but when I first got my Intuos4 all I did was type in "intuos4" and whatever I needed help with into google. (The click and hold right click thing really bugged me till I figured out how to disable it)

Just a tip: Play games with it, like Solitaire for example, for a couple of days - this way it will become more natural to use. Put your mouse away while you do this - don't give in to the urge to use your mouse.

agree with jinx, disable your mouse and only use your pen, I've never gone back to my mouse. I use a Wacom Intuos and found quite a bit on the net. Also, some photographic trade shows often have a Wacom stall and experts on hand to ask questions and give demos.

@aes981 jinx is right on with using only the tablet. I spent a day playing walk my plank (let me know if you want a ref code ;) ) with only the tablet. It really helps. However I adjust my mouse speed to be really fast, much faster than I want my tablet to be, so I do use both. My tablet wireless so its pretty easy to switch between it and the mouse when I need to. Don't try using both wireless tablet and wireless mouse at the same time though, it's just asking for trouble!

@neda I use both a wireless mouse and tablet. I first turn them both off, turn on the tablet and use, then turn on the mouse and use... After that no problems.

did you get a DVD with the tablet? The normally come with a How to PS video. It might be on their website.
