I just wanted to post a little message to say hello. =) I have only just stumbled upon this website, and had to sign up! I have tried a 365 project on Flickr once before, and only got to about 3 months in, so I'm hoping that being a part of the community will help with my motivation!
I don't really lead a very interesting life - I'm 26, married, and qualified as a nurse in September 2011 - but I love the idea of recording my life through one photo a day.
I own a Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ10, and find it does the job for most ordinary everyday things. I'm not a photographer or anything like that, so I only really use the Auto settings!!!
I'm not sure when to start, whether I want to theme my photos or what. I think I might just take my camera everywhere with me, and see what happens!!

Welcome ! This is a fabulous site, the community of people here are great. I've a relative newbie (started 1st Jan).but already I feel like I know so many people on here. I would suggest you start following people whose photos you like, and comment, that way you raise your profile and get people to follow you...good luck and have fun - its really addictive !!
Welcome Rebekah! Just have fun with it whatever you decide to do! I am just finishing up a heart theme for Valentine's Day tomorrow! I like to do short themes so I can just let my imagination run wild throughout the year!
Welcome to the gang! I am a relative newbie started 1st Jan this year I am also not a photographer just love taking pictures and sharing them so this site is a dream! Its been a wonderful inspiration to see other peoples shots and wonder how they do that and try some of them out.Its also been great to make some new friends who comment and give feedback.My only warning is beware it very quickly becomes an addiction! apart from that enjoy your Lumix I have a DMC TZ4 which I adore and last year hubby bought me a finepix S3400 wh ich I am learning how to use. WELCOME! i'll join everybody else in saying you won't regret joining this wonderful site, I love it to bits, have been here for 6/7 months (although i've gone a little off the rails recently!) Taking your camera everywhere is a brilliant idea, especially if it's one you can whip out a moment's notice. Have fun :)
Wow!! Thanks so much everyone, for the warm welcome. I'm definitely feeling good about starting this project! And, earlier, I went out for a walk and took a couple of snaps! I'll post one of them as my first. Yay!
