lol, not really. xD It is sort of spam, but it is from a human who genuinely wants some support! :D
I have a photography facebook page - http://www.facebook.com/teresa.simonetti.photography - for which I would like as much support as possible, so if you could check it out (and *like* it!) then that would be amazing :)
And my website too. :) http://teresasimonetti.com/ I actually sell prints now internationally so if you're keen, check out my gallery. :)
And, THANK YOU to everyone on 365 who has liked my facebook page so far... every time I see a new like from one of you guys, I get a little happy inside :) It means a lot!
Hi! I think you should all follow Teresa, her photography is wonderful!!!
How has the print selling been going? I was thinking of doing similar on Etsy, but a bit unsure?
It's going slowly, but only because I haven't advertised it, like, at all. lol. xD Been busy with other things. But I plan in the intermediate future to hold a launch event/exhibition, which will hopefully get people's attention :)
I've heard good things about Etsy! :) The reason why I didn't use an established site like Etsy was because I really wanted a website of my own (and because I was able to code it and wanted to exercise my coding skills) :)
lol, that is funny! @pocketmouse where do you get your photos printed? I was looking online at a couple of places (RGB Digital Pro Lab, Nulab) and was wondering what they were like.
@cchambers Yeah, that's because there's no way I could reasonably and meaningfully follow over 1,000 people. :) I prefer to follow fewer so that I can actually give them the time of day. Given that I'm a full time student, it's not feasible for me to sit and comment on photos all day! xD
@cchambers No, I'm not asking for followers! :) I'm asking for people to show support on my facebook page. Totally different thing, unrelated to 365project. And they don't have to if they don't want to. :)
i liked your page weeks ago :) i think its fun when i get a notification that you have posted new photos and im like, yeah i just saw that one on 365, nice shot :)
Teresa (pocketmouse) @cchambers In fact I've never asked for followers. I think it's a desperate and silly act. If people want to follow your work, they'll follow it. @pocketmouse - so why are you asking for likes on your facbook page its no different to asking for followers on here??!!??
@kmrtn6 Because facebook is structured totally differently to 365. On 365, you publish photos that everyone can see, and it's pretty easy to become well-known because your photos show up on the Latest page, New faces, Popular page... it's structured in that way in order to foster a sense of community, and it's very easy to click "follow" once you've found someone whose photos you enjoy viewing. And the community is quite small and close-knit, which helps very much.
However, on facebook, millions of people use it and it's a lot harder to become known at all. This is why I am asking people on 365 to check out my page, because I want to see if there's any interest/how much interest there is, and I am asking 365 members because they understand photography whereas the wider (facebook) community doesn't necessarily. I want people who like my photography to be able to keep up with it in a different channel, if they choose to. I don't understand what the big deal is. I'm not begging for likes. I'm not saying "like it or I won't be your friend", or anything ridiculous like that. I'm saying that IF you feel so inclined, and IF you enjoy my work, then head over to my facebook page, and IF you'd like to show support by clicking 'Like', then that's fantastic and I'm very appreciative. If not, that's cool. That's all.
@kmrtn6 There you go - nothing wrong with that! :) I think 365 is a great place to get some support for your work. In fact if you want to start your own forum thread about it, then the world's your oyster.
i thought it would be a shameful plug lol, but you're right about it, at the end of the day it's giving people another format to view and access to stuff that doesnt go on here
i like your page by the way
