I am almost a year here and not even halfway with the number of pictures I should have produced. So I am not using it as meant, but I knew that from the start. So I guess that it is better for me (and for you probably:-) ) to leave. Wish you all the best and have much fun with your pictures.
@gdenoord - I'm not sure I understand why it is better for you (or us) if you leave? It's entirely your choice how many and when you post pictures and when and why you decide to leave.
@gdenoord don't leave - it doesn't matter is every day is not full - its your project to do as you wish. If you produce one stunning shot a month surely that is better than nothing. There are no rules surely - the 365 Project is your personal space :-)
Looking at your profile, it seems you never set out to upload a photo a day, so I'm not quite sure why you're so disappointed with yourself.

If that's how you want to do your project then so be it. No-one's going to criticise that. But it that was the decision you made when you started, then it's no wonder that you've "not even halfway with the number of pictures you should have produced". If you wanted a calendar full of photos then you should have started your project with that aim. No?
You have some great shots! It's very hard to post a pic on a daily basis, but if you don't do I don't see why this project would not work. Do it at your own rhythm, if it's not daily who cares? I've reached my 365th but often I didn't post pics taken on the same day, and I plan to continue, but one year of daily postings is the max for me, so I think I'll continue on a more relaxed mode to make it viable. You've commented on my pics now and then, and I realize now that I'm not following you, although I sometimes look at your work. You have a new follower now (because I like your work), I hope you'll stay :-)

Next: I am not disappointed, I just think that the way I do it isntn meant to be. I didnt shoot anything this weekend. The way i see it is that this community is created for uploading daily, and yes I knew and wrote that I never would do that. but now after a year I think I better step over to something else like flickr. So nothing to do with disappointment or just quitting. I think that I dont fit the criteria for this.
Furthermore, i really enjoyed it and i guess i will often look around.
Now thinking ver why i started this discussion...I think it was to let you all know that I am planning to leave, and doing this with a thread is more easy than evryone in my list personal.
I will think it over...it surely helps me to know how you all look at this.
Last thing...hope you could understand my dunglish ( dutch-english) easily :)

I cannot post daily but for me it has never been about posting every day, just about getting myself to take photos, to explore the beautiful country I live in and to explore my possibilities to portray this with a camera. 365 is what YOU make it, everyone of us has different goals and that is just fine!

You have some stunning pics. If you can't take a pic every day, so what? It's your choice. As jy Afrikaans kan lees (of verstaan) - ek hoop jy bly hier - ek hou regtig van wat jy al geneem het :)
