What a neat idea to meet up! Amazing that yo all went to the same place, yet each single photo is totally different. I would never think its the same location! Well done!
@talfaro We met at a tiny seaside town called Beachmere about 45 mins drive north of Brisbane in Queensland (Australia). It's on an estuary so has quiet water and lots of mangroves.
@ozziehoffy Nope. There is a mangrove boardwalk, wetlands and bird hide in Wynnum North.
Lota is pretty and has a new playground which is awesome and the best fish and chips at Bart's Place, but the mangroves are just *there* and not so easily accessible.
@monika64@ozziehoffy - I took this one this afternoon from the bird-hide near my house. I am on school hols now, but my days get filled up pretty quickly. Even so, it might be worth teeing up an afternoon on the incoming tide....
@corymbia wow you do book up quickly!!! Lol... oh mine are seriously noisy... and I just can't take my eyes off them for too long cos they're into mischief!
Awesome photo Amanda @corymbia . I dont know if either of you work but we could do a mid week meetup at some point. Michelle has a few hours in the middle of the day free and Alicia has a couple of days a week free. My work is flexible.
@ozziehoffy @danacarruthers @darincarruthers @pizzaboy @tulipgirl @bdb3471 @michelle58 @saranna @sugarmuser
Thanks for the great afternoon.
it was such fun, there are so many photos taken, even some funny ones, and yes, they are all different
Was so much fun :)

...and my two were with me - these birds don't seem phased by noise.
Great shot and great scenery.
