Ok, just talking to myself....ha ha ha, but you can comment...:D

May 5th, 2012
Ok, so tonight I was looking at some of my past posted photos that I thought were ok, but now looking at them, I am wondering what the heck was I thinking!!! They are awful..why did I think they were ok???

Happen to anyone else?

Just was thinking here.....I know, kinda scary...............just sayin' I have scared myself!!! ha ha ha

You guy rock here and are the best. Waving "hi" to all of you!!! :D

How long ago did you post them. I sometimes take out photos and replace them, but I leave the first three months alone just to see how I have improved
May 5th, 2012
LOL, happens to me all the time. When my hard drive starts getting full, I start with older files and it is easy to dump a bunch of them because I say the same thing to myself. What was I thinking. Glad I'm not the only one.

@brumbe ...Very confusing x2. Why do you change them out? Too much work. Just make the next shot better!
May 5th, 2012
@brumbe I was going thru some of my shots for the dandelion thread, some were from 6 months to a year ago. Just was throwing this out there, ha, I so need to learn more!! Did not realize! :) I have never taking any out, post, and left them all....funny how I see things differently now.
May 5th, 2012
I think that's a sign that you're learning and growing as a photographer. I have lots of shots that I once thought were awesome that now I see and think are terrible!
May 5th, 2012
I'm doing a lot of re-shoots lately (for my own entertainment) and have come across that very thing - so many shots that make me go Hmmmm.
May 5th, 2012
yep... part of me wants to remove them... part of me thinks they serve as excellent reminders of how far (i hope!) i've come :)
May 5th, 2012
We all have them :)
May 5th, 2012
@scooter I try not to go back. It is scary. :)
May 5th, 2012
Sometimes I don't have time to happen across or plan a good shot, it ends up being a comprise and not always up to a standard. That's life, incentive to think about it next time.
May 5th, 2012
Glad I'm not the only one! Lol!
HI!!! :))
May 5th, 2012
@catwhiskers @hown @melissapike @pwallis @northy Thanks guys!!! I was just wondering!!! I have never deleted or removed a photo once posted, but thinking I should have!! EEK So wish I had more time to take photos and spend time here.... Such a supportive community!!! Thank you all.

@pwallis Funny, I was thinking of taking a photo tonight of a caterpillar but thought, geesh, I did the same thing last year during that spring, so I did not take a photo...

@cheyrebecca :) Hi!!!!
May 5th, 2012
I do this every month! I look back at my shots that I posted and some, most, I cant help but think, oh I wish I could redo that. Im taking that as a good thing though because it means Im getting better, (I hope. :) )

@pwallis do you really switch yours out? Do you use shots from the same time you took the one you posted or more recent photos? huh, I guess I never noticed the date changes on yours. LOL. :) I've thought so many times I want to go back and mess with some of mine!
May 5th, 2012
@buccigrossi Sniff, I cannot even so go Pens now!

@mandyj92 Scared me tonight! I had not gone back in a while.

@robv Life indeed, but was thinking why, guess a moment in time!! :)
May 5th, 2012
@katiebrenkert Glad I am not the only one! :) I hope to get better!
May 5th, 2012
Same. I have looked back on my first month & thought they were crap. At least it helps remind us of how much you can improve with practice.
May 5th, 2012
@katiebrenkert Oh no no no no, I don't switch mine out! I LIKE to look back at my laughably bad attempts at some shots, and, well, laugh. No, the re-shoots I'm talking about are just some recent ones I've been posting (and will be posting throughout the next month) are just shots I've had occasion to revisit, and out of pure curiousity, or because I wasn't happy with the result the first time round, have decided to have another go at. No - I'm to OCD to switch out my photos:)
May 5th, 2012
@katiebrenkert apparently I'm not too OCD to spellcheck my spelling of the word "too" though.....
May 5th, 2012
Each of my horrible shots is like a (sometimes embarrassing) lesson on what not to do next time. Every seasoned photographer was a newbie once, and only got better with practice. And I would bet even the most talented photographers take crappy shots sometimes.
May 5th, 2012
Been there... Done that. :D
May 5th, 2012
Do you mean on here?

No, not really, for me this is a photo diary with fabulous opportunities to improve my skills.

(and of course I'm still a total newbie:)
May 5th, 2012
Ha! Just read your comment about the caterpillar. I simply cannot shoot another moth! Remember last year I shot about 30 of them. I mean it would have to be spectacular for me to bother. I look at my moth shots and wonder why any if you still follow or like me!
:-)

Sometimes after I post something, I do second guess myself.
I'll post something I think looks good and then I look at other ones I took of the same thing and wonder why I didn't post a different one instead because I now think another one looks better than the one I posted.

This site can be so much fun but also so stressful, too. LOL

Once they've been posted for awhile I don't usually stress over it amymore. I just keep trying to learn and improve.
