Had a huge proud moment for me tonight... just did my first real smoke shot. All the other times I have tried - I failed miserably! I see these shots all the time and never thought I could do it! Sure - it is not perfect - but I can work on that!
Has anyone else had one of those moments with a certain shot?? I know I am not alone on this! :)
This one was the first time I tried to do water drops and it's still probably one of the best one's I've done. It made the PP too so I was REALLY excited about it!

I wanted this reflection so bad but could not find parking for what seemed an hour...I did not want to leave my wife and kids waiting too long but my wife wanted me to go for it...I walked two blocks...quickly composed my shot...saw a couple in the distance...waited from them and its one of my favorites and to be honest one of a very few street shots in my aresnal...it was a rush!

it was one shot where everything just seemed to go right, expressions, reflections, lighting and that cinemagraphic feel that it gives off
I am really proud of this shot. I probably have close to 700 shots of hummingbirds. Most have been deleted. Also if you look closely at the feeder you will see honeybees. A tractor carrying bee hives overturned on the expressway (about 10 miles away) and we were inundated with honeybees. About 200-300 swarmed the backyard all fall. When I would go outside to photograph (or work in the garden) within 5 minutes I would have bees crawling on the tripod, the camera and me. Luckily honeybees are pretty placid because I was spraying them with water so the hummers could eat.
My proud moments are many, but i love specially two photos because of what they mean to me.
This one, because everything came out nice, better than what i expected. And i actually sold this picture to a real state company when the oportunity came.
And this one, because i went this place twice to get what i wanted and this picture is perfect. I could frame it and hang it up. Love it.
This is way back in my project I think about my 16th shot, it was the first shot I actually set up & I was amazed that I could do something that turned out so cool, I think it is still one of my favourite shots ever probably cos of that:-
This one, just last week. Proud because when I got my homework assignment, I knew in my head this is the shot I wanted...and I created it exactly how I wanted it. That really felt like a huge step in terms of using lighting and post.

Anyway, this was shot during my first attempt at "fizzy fruit." It was my first photo to ever make the pp, which was really exciting!

I also wanted to try night shots and have done a few. I was excited when this one came out nice.

long hard slog to get up here - this was taken at around 5,500m, it's the most amazing view I have ever worked to get!
