I was looking for a bit of advice on a photo of mine. I've been doing a (free) online photo course, just basic stuff and each month we have homework set and are to hand in one photo. This month it is to take a silhouette photo using the metering modes. We can do some editing but the silhouette itself has to be one taken in camera, if that makes sense. Anyhow so far this is what I have and like the most but I'm not sure if it will 100% count as a silhouette. Hubby thinks it does count as a silhouette and a few other people do but me myself I'm not sure. So I thought I would see what the 365 community has to say. Thank you.
Sure it's a silhouette; apart from the edges the foreground is extremely underexposed and essentially black. You could always increase the black point in processing to totally black it out - would still count, because you have definitely captured a silhouette in-camera. It's a funky shot :)

It's run through a photography magazine and we are currently on the third module out of six. It's just basic DSLR Skills but it has had me thinking and learning more about my camera.
@coolgirlsar i'm doing this course too and finding this one difficult - i have two practice shot so far but I'm not really happy with either
