Hi,
I'm currently saving up for a Lumix G2. I just wondered if people think that it is worth it? I'm only new to photography and I don't need an expensive camera. That is why I thought that it would be perfect. I have looked at reviews on Jessops and just wanted a second opinion on it.

I am a big fan of Sony Alpha Cameras if you are after an SLR. Canon Ixus if you want a compact. Canon Powershot G series if you want something inbetween. Do try the cameras before buying. And it really does depend on the photos you want to take.
I have a lumix G10 and I like it. Its not as good as a $2000 dollar camera as I am seeing since being on here (clarity and focus mainly) but it takes a good photo, it cost a lot less (around $500) and, here's the big plus for me, is a lot lighter. I can fit it in my handbag and my arm doesnt drop off when it has a bigger lens on it.
I havent found anything that I cant do on it that others can do. It is an dslr. I have found adaptors on ebay ($20) that allow me to use other lenses that I had from an old pentax slr lens lying around, so with adapters I can use any lens.
There is a new Panasonic compact slr out that Michelle @michelle58 got a couple of weeks ago, that is even more compact, (size of a point and shoot) so if size is important then this is a way to go. Good luck in your decision.
