On the 4th July this year I came to the end of my 365 project - and I didn't even realise until the evening of the 6th! I'd like to say a heartfelt thank-you to every thoughtful, funny, caring, or otherwise genuinely wonderful person out there who has not only offered their support throughout the year and put a smile on my face with their photos and comments, but given me a huge amount of faith in humanity and the world around me. I've become a better photographer, I think, but more than that I've changed as a person. My instinct now is to trust and respect people pretty much unconditionally and seeing the world through the '365 lens' has been a huge part of that. I can't thank everyone enough!
I can't choose a favourite photo because I had so much fun with every one, but I'll leave a handful of the ones that I thought were my best/really meant a lot to me at the bottom of this post :)
There was no grand 365 photo finish of course, I've missed that opportunity, so maybe I'll do something special after my second year! I'll be taking it just as relaxed-ly as my first of course ;)
Congratulations on reaching the end Izzy. It has been a pleasure following you and sharing your wonderful photos. I am glad that you are going to continue and look forward to viewing many more awesome photos. x
Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well done! I have to laugh at you not even noticing you finished... that's nice. It means that the destination wasn't as important as the journey! And that's super!
Perhaps not noticing the end of the project is the most poignant observation that could be made. The project never truly ends. Is there ever a point where we have exhausted our growth potential as photographers? I certainly hope not! So congratulations on completing the first year of your ongoing journey, and here's to the start of your second!
@nicolecampbell Thank you Nicole, you were one of the people I wanted to give a special shout out to, I've loved following you and enjoyed all your comments, captions and photos :) @aspada wow I never thought of it like that! I much prefer that to 'foretfulness' haha, thank you :D @kareen good question... This year must have gone by so fast! @kannafoot Thank you so much, I'll remember that, the journey is never over! @maggie2 Thank you Margaret and a special thank you for being there since the very beginning! You really encouraged me when I was starting out with this project. @sparkle thanks Juliette! It was lovely to meet you this year and maybe the opportunity will come again :)
Congrats Izzy on a wonderful accomplishment and good to hear that you are staying on for a second year. I'm surprised you didn't notice as everyone else seems to count the days down. Well done again.
