I'm tempted by Rivington and the moors, as we did Manchester last time, I could pick people up from the station and be guide for the day, Horwich is about 25 minutes out of manchester in car or train. comments please!! tag more in if you know them.

Well I see no objections to having it in the country rather than Manchester, as long as everyone is able to get to the rivington area (Horwich) a few miles out of Bolton, its pretty handy for anyone living in Manchester, Preston, Wigan, Atherton and surrounding areas.
I reckon I can do July 29th which is a Sunday, and August 12th also a sunday, but I've got some saturdays free too. Any thoughts or counter-offers???? There's plenty of pubs we could drive to, and anyone who gets the train from the city - I can accomodate four in my car and drop off at the station at the end too.

yep, its a fair old drive, about 45 minutes I guess. If you could fill a car I suppose it wouldn't be much of a problem you could split the petrol. Last time we had a Manchester meet there was someone came from York.

PS I love your photos, I've seen your project before and have a fav from your pics, an old selfie in the snow, but much respect that you're still daily posting on your third year. i'm half way through my second and running out of steam. If you wanna come check out the train prices and times from Leeds to Bolton, I don't reckon it would be too bad. But it would be at a guess 1pm till about 8pm I reckon, roughly, if we go and have some dinner somewhere so check when the evening trains are going back. I've invited two girls who are 21 (above) if that helps, Olivia and Megan who follow my project. It will certainly be possible but it depends how easy/cheap it will be.
this sounds like a great trip, think I can't make those dates though @naomi I know @fueast personally, and can vouch for her driving skills, pretty sure she was offering a lift. there's a few of us Leodians so maybe we could call a Leeds meet sometime?

Message me if you need picking up from train stations and don't drive, there are two trains an hour to Westhoughton from Manchester, they go from Platform 14 Piccadilly station. 2pm suits me, what do y'all think.

I don't have y'alls emails so if I think its too wet I'll cancel on here, but that's for the sake of those travelling, if you're local then you might go up or not depending on how you feel. Unless its chucking down be cool to see y'all.

would be good to have a get together and get some fresh air. I was up rivington today and due to the past few days it is a bit muddy in places os bring waterproof coats and boots/shoes. We will go at a steady pace, it won't be a difficult walk.

@chewyteeth Myself and @mrfoxon are still hoping to come, but he had to sell his car today so if we can get picked up from somewhere that'd be grand. I'm going to head into Bolton early and make a whole day of it, so where should we get to and for when? That's assuming that someone will actually be able to give us a lift.

Do you know the drive through Mcdonalds that used to be the Chinese Gardens restaurant, near the A58 st. helens rd. near the uni buildings. what about in the carpark there?
@chewyteeth It's okay, I've just been informed that he thought the meet up was next month, and his car isn't sold until bank holiday monday. So we're sorted again :)
the sun has been out all day. half way tp north it started to soup on the A50. 3 hours driving was worth it., just to get away from the kids if nothing else. next time we could have a plan B. and C. maybe an impromptu studio session. thanks Dave for organization! summer hey.
