new purchase....Feedback please

I have a Nikon 90 but also a light Cybershot .....that I loved but i've broken it and planned to buy the SONY DSC-RX100 to replace it, I would like to know if anybody has it and what he thinks about, the price is 699 Swissfrancs ( approx 650 us$)

I like it a lot for a compact camera. As a second camera, it won't replace a DSLR though.

@anzere03 oui, bien sur, c'est juste pour avoir sur moi, le Nikon est trop lourd ! Et j'ai une vilaine nevralgie qui m'empeche de porter de trop lourdes charges trop longtemps....ma seule crainte était le zoom 28-100, pas tres performant alors que d'autres compact moins cher en ont de meilleurs...

I don't have one, but I've read lots of reviews of it and it sounds great. Sony have brought out some really good cameras this year, I don't think you would regret it.

write-ups are fantastic. I use a fixed lens (35mm FF equiv.) Fuji X100 and adore it as a carry round camera.

@wardie thanks Paul for your opinion, I think it will be perfect ( and light) to hold in my bag everyday.....I just ordered it today....it was an emergency ;)

I just finished reading a professional review of the RX100 - they said it is a game-changer: takes DSLR quality images in a very compact body. I'd get it.

@kalexa same problem for me, sometimes after one day around my neck or in my bag I think it weighs 10 kilos ! I will give you my first impressions...
