@blueworld You can always take the clock on your computer.......tick, tick, tick. I take a picture most days, but I just got back from 9 days of vacation, so I am taking this week to fill in with those. I don't fill in with old shots very often, but it will keep your calendar full. Just remember, before you load an old picture, change the date to the day of the week you want to fill for your project.
I used to stress about that when I first started! But after being sick, one wonderful vaca, then kids starting school, I had to get over it ;) I try to take one a day but working full time with three kids in various after-school activities, one hubby, and three needy dogs, I can't always do it. But this project is for yourself and personal growth. You can leave blank or use a filler! Its all up to you and what you make of it. (By the way, if I was still stressing about it the way I was the first month or so, I would never make a whole year!) I love the idea that @styru had about making light of it with a filler that pokes fun at forgetting!
Some days I haven't posted, because I couldn't decide which pic to take! 18 months later, should I go back and make my mind up? Nah!
Enjoy your project whatever you do, but don't let your project rule you!
because i work 12 hr shift work and especially on nights - not really in the right frame to take photos every day - tend to fill those in with old photos with good memories of where I'd rather be. not stressing it's my year in photos ;)
I missed one day due to my appendix surgery and i just posted this...
iw as bummed i missed a day but i didnt want to put a random photo in. maybe you can find something in the news related to the day you missed and post it.
As stated this project is for your growth as a photographer. There is no reason to feel bad about using a filler or not posting every day. No need for apologies. Just enjoy shooting!
For this years attempt I have given myself the rule of posting a photo a day taken within a week of the date. Some days I can take several good enough pictures, others I don't even see day light and occasionally work in places where I shouldn't even take a phone/camera with me. So far so good My rules just encourage me to keep taking and looking for pictures all year...
I try to shoot every day, but when I can't, I'll use a fill shot taken within the past week. At the moment, I'm using a whole week of fill shots from my bug shoot on the weekend so that I can get my professional site organized (which is what I meant to do on the day of the bug shoot anyway).

Maybe a 'to let' sign, a question mark from a hoarding or poster, or maybe an advert about memory loss? - make light of it!!
