So, today I did photo number 365 - woohoo! I will definitely be staying on for another year, as this place is way too much fun to leave.
I cannot believe how many things have changed for me over the past year, thanks to this project. Here are a few stand out things I learnt:
Manual: Before this project I was terrified of the "M" on the dial... now I hardly shoot on any other mode. Manual control has been the single biggest step forward in my photography for me.
Vision: I see things I never even noticed before - photo possibilities are everywhere. the world is a more beautiful place.
Editing: I didn't touch my photos up much before this past year, but I have learnt a lot of valuable editing techniques. I still have much to learn in this regard, but I have come a long way.
Equipment: About 2 months ago I bought my first DSLR with three lenses, including a macro lens. The last 10 years I have shot using only P&S cameras, so this was a great improvement for me and I am greatly enjoying my new baby.
Thank you to everyone for all your views, comments and favs over the past 365 days - here's to another year!
Congrats doesn't it feel great to complete this awesome project. Thanks for sharing so many awesome pics with us. I look forward to many more from you.
Love this shot and well done Dominique.
