How cool you did a blue theme. Congrats on your first month.
I've recently started my 3rd year although I do have some gaps in my 2nd year which will probably happen again this year. :)
January 31st, 2013
Just 11 months to go - plenty of 'blue' out there....
January 31st, 2013
@styru I AM CURIOUS. HOW DID YOU SAVE A SNAP SHOT OF YOUR MONTH OF JANUARY???? STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS PLEASE ;)
January 31st, 2013
@styru I will post my January once I know how you did it.... thx
January 31st, 2013
Haha, well done!
January 31st, 2013
1) take a screen shot of the month view (using the print screen - PRT SC - key.)

2) Open 'paint' and paste the screen view into it.

3) Crop the section you want

4) save it as a jpeg

5) upload that jpeg image to whatever photohosting site you use (photobucket, flickr etc)

(if you don't have an account - then imagesup.net will let you upload pics without signing up)

6) add the image here using the < img src="URL" > command. (extra gaps added there so you can see it)

Sounds complex - but it actually takes about 45 seconds.
January 31st, 2013
@styru Ok, thx.. I will give it a go ;)
January 31st, 2013
@styru I am an idiot.. I do not know how to use the print screen key.. Do I need to hold down another key at the same time.. when i hit the print screen key...nothing happens.. sorry...
January 31st, 2013
I can't believe you are going to attempt a whole year of this....I am seeing some blueberries in your future.
January 31st, 2013
@shirljess What I do is just hit the print screen key and then open Microsoft Word and click to paste. Then just right click the image and tell it to save picture.
January 31st, 2013
@newbie - I like a challenge ...
January 31st, 2013
@mittens @shirljess @istacy1011 @newbie

Well if you want to see how it pans out remember to hit my 'Follow' button...
January 31st, 2013
@styru Really cool! I love seeing things like this in the calendar view. Awesome job. Reminds me a little of my husband's project. He's doing a "rainbow" theme. Check him out ---> user name: Roy G. Biv. ;)
January 31st, 2013
How cool is the blue theme. And your next theme is? Anxious to see.
January 31st, 2013
Only 11 months to go!

What's with all the bold!
January 31st, 2013
@kjarn not sure about the bold - but you are doing it too!
January 31st, 2013
Make it stop!
January 31st, 2013
I love how your project is coming along-- excited to see more!! @styru
January 31st, 2013
hmm not sure how Kathy
January 31st, 2013
Ah, there we go, sorted it for you @kjarn
January 31st, 2013
January 31st, 2013
@istacy1011 Thx so much, that was very helpful. ;)
January 31st, 2013
Thank you so much.
January 31st, 2013
@kjarn No problem, could have been worse, could have been italics
January 31st, 2013
@shirljess If you have a Mac (do you?), you can hold down apple + shift + 4 and it will crop right there and save for you! Skips 1 step. Here's the cool project of someone very dear to me. ;-)

January 31st, 2013
^ Guess I was the first victim of "italics."
January 31st, 2013
@shirljess Glad it helped :)
January 31st, 2013
Blue blue your world is blue, gloriously blue. :-)
January 31st, 2013
Everytime I see your profile, my neck cringes. Your profile always reminds me of a neck brace in the thumbnail....lol

@allegresse
January 31st, 2013
@welcometocarolworld Lol, it's a scarf! But I guess I can see how it looks that way. Maybe it's time for a new one. ;)
January 31st, 2013
This is wonderful. Is your plan to do the whole year blue?? Or try a different colour each month??
January 31st, 2013
see if I turned off the italics???
January 31st, 2013
Very cool. Would be neat to do a different color each month.
January 31st, 2013
Very impressive!
January 31st, 2013
A very nutty and totally cool project idea. The calendar view looks great!
January 31st, 2013
@frankhymus not sure about my next theme yet - but I still have 11 months to think about that!

@kwind @crystal1112 - would hardly be a challenge if I gave up on the theme after one month - 11 more to go!
January 31st, 2013
choice. Enjoyed seeing this. I dont see any smurfs.
January 31st, 2013
@plumtree500

yet!

(still 11 months to go)
January 31st, 2013
Cool idea. I am torn between doing this and a similar idea but making a collage of "alternative photos" - the ones that never made it up but were taken on the days.
January 31st, 2013
@styru I love your blue themed project, it is fun to look at!
January 31st, 2013
@crystal1112 I like your idea about a different color each month.
January 31st, 2013
@mittens maybe - but hardly a challenge though...
January 31st, 2013
@styru You are right Styru, I guess that would be less of a challenge than keeping with the blue theme for the whole year. You've got your work cut out for you. :)
January 31st, 2013
@mittens Thanks. I think it would be a cool theme. :)
February 1st, 2013
Great theme, all over for me

February 1st, 2013
Love the blue theme--very striking!
February 1st, 2013
Just a little blue moon-
February 1st, 2013
@godders Great final shot!
@olivetreeann What an interesting and complex photo. I really like the blues and the pop of the bear.

One month down -- it's an inspiration to see the completed ones!

I followed the directions (thank you @styru) and hope the link works. I've been having trouble posting links to photos in a comment. http://www.flickr.com/photos/taffyraphael/8434679352/in/photostream
February 1st, 2013
You're doing really well!! Congrats!
February 1st, 2013
I did what I suggested I might, and created an "alternate January" for my 31st January upload:
February 1st, 2013
@taffy Thanks Taffy- just so you know, it's a pig! She pops up in my pictures every now and then. Just a goofy little souvenir I bought last summer- specifically for 365!
February 1st, 2013
I am so impressed by your originality in how you incorporate blue in your images. Great variety in perspective and subject. Good luck in the months ahead.
February 1st, 2013
Great idea and calendar view looks brilliant. What colour next? I also like the idea of B&W with one colour popped.
February 2nd, 2013
@olivetreeann Ah -- now I see it! Clever idea to have a figure like that across the year.
