I have never started a discussion but I am just so excited today as I have been asked to head over to one of the McDonalds stores on Saturday for McHappy Day to take photos of their fun day that help raises money for Ronald McDonald House.
I really am only new to photography and I am not getting paid but am excited and nervous to have an opportunity I know I will learn more from and I am really pleased that someone thought my photography was good enough to invite me along. Apparently the stores have a small competition between each other for the best photo on the day!!
We have been fortunate enough to have had Ronald McDonald House available for our family during the times my son has needed surgery and I am thrilled to be involved in this day!!

oh soooo cool!! good for you :D what a great opportunity to increase your skill level while bringing attention to such an important organization! As a high tech pediatric nurse I know how important these kind of places are to the families they serve. While you are there just remember the spirit of Ronald McDonald- FUN!! I think not getting paid will take some of the pressure off of you and will allow you to relax and concentrate on doing what we all know you do well :D good luck- can't wait to see the results :)
Dont worry your photos i have seen are great. you will do fine . And once you get started shooting you will forget being nervous and the time will fly by and pretty soon it will be all over with. dont forget to charge all your batteries the day before and bring extra batteries and memory. Looking forward to seeing some of the pictures...
Well done - congrats and going by your portraits you'll be awesome. Now you need someone to take a pic of you taking the pix so you get to remember the opportunity ...
Looked through your pages and your photos are great..so wonderful that they have contacted you to do the photo shoot..how did they know about your photos??
Thankyou everyone - I did go out yesterday and got another flash card and I think I will get a spare battery today - so excited and don't want to be caught out waiting for my battery to recharge. I will let you know how it goes!!
Well the day went well and I got plenty of shots for them, some I am happy with, some not so but it was a great learning opportunity. I really am a bit shy about approaching people so I need to get over this grrr!! The other thing I have to work on is inside photography with the various lighting situations in different areas.
