I think it's because 1) Guy's feet are usually a mess 2) It's one body part on the female form that is "safe" to take a picture of to post anywhere 3) It is not an identifying feature - as in, "I'd know those toes anywhere"!
don't know what you're talking about ... obviously you're tuned in to it ... I've never taken a pic like that - not that I remember ... now I wonder what boys take pix of that they could put up if they 'could'. lol maybe for you I'll take a pic of feet, saw some really ugly ones this morning and they weren't mine.
Weird.. I have been looking thru albums for almost a month and hadn't run into a single foot picture.. Read your post and have since seen at least 3.. How did you do that??
duh, coz we like the pretty colours we get painted on them hahaha, and i'm pretty sure boys like the pretty colours too ... someone should post a thread asking why do boys seem to like taking photos of themselves whilst driving a car, funny stuff ;)
lol, I have a pic of my nails after a mani, but never posted (yes, I have taken) one of my feet after a pedi...thanks for bringing this to my attention...I now know what must be done....lol
lol, I have seen them taken laying on a chair with the ocean behind them, to me that represented relaxation "the good life" other than that reason for a foot photo I have no idea!
Because we wear totally awesome socks. Really you guys are stuck with boring socks, but check out the selection for women. And then there is shoes, don't get us started on those. And there are polishes and anklets and toe rings, and all kinds of reasons to show off your feet. But the best reason of course is to make you ask why...(you had to know that was coming eventually. ;)

Because I like my feet and I like shoes. :) Plus, I have some pretty tattoos on them. I also like taking photos of little kid feet. Who doesn't want to nom some baby toes?

Usually because I'm sitting in an airport taking a picture of something else and my camera is still on when I point it down and I see my feet and think..."Hey that's cool."
Feet are all over my album for a couple reasons. One, I like to take some pictures of everyday things from the angle I actually see them because it really captures what I see when the camera isn't around. Like the shot i took on the swing, when I swing that is what i see, feet in front of me going up and down. Feet are expressive too. The picture of my family's feet speaks to our personalities, dad in tennis shoes reay for action all the time, Me in prissy fashionable boots, and mom in her warm wool socks being comfy and inviting like she is. The picture of my best friend and my feet is a snapshot of a moment in time that was both painful and magical. I don't like to talk about my deep feelings so while I was telling her all the things I was freaking out about that day I had my head down twisting on the swing set staring at my feet not wanting to meet her kind eyes with my teary ones. I snapped the picture out of nervous energy not having much to do with my hands. When I edited the pictures later I found that picture captured those feelings from that moment with my friend perfectly.
Of course it isn't always that deep, I also love shoes and if I have cute ones on or a great pedicure, there will be pics taken on my feet. They may not get posted because the meaning isn't there behind them but I have them. =)
Never noticed that! Hmmm, I think I've only done one--with my ballet shoes when I was beginning my Project. No idea, Barry. Guess we're just weird. I'm looking at the responses--maybe it's all about the polish, lol. Maybe you owe us a peek at your feet? heehee

I think feet are gross, disgusting, I hate when people touch mine or put their feet on me.
I decided maybe I would try and make my feet look nice to help me get over this....
To take a photo of your feet, show's a little bit of innocence in the photo..the reason girls take it is because we have the photographer's brains to show the innocence that picture :) lol.

Why do women always admire each others shoes, then take them off immediately because they are uncomfortable? How can you like something that causes pain?
Oops, then again, there is always a relationship with someone. Same thing, I guess. Never mind.

Feet are beautiful, and should be praised for how hard they work for us everyday. I'm a ballerina, so I tend to mostly like feet in pointe shoes.
