Provoke me!

November 18th, 2010
I`m having a pretty bad week,I have no energy/inspiration/motivation/self-confidence/positivity.I barely touched my camera.
Could you help me out? Just chose a theme,and I shall chose the more challenging(but doable) one,for tomorrow (or more,for the rest of the week).
I know this topic makes me look selfish,but I don`t want to end up quitting this project,like others did.

Thank you all,in advance.

I would love to see pictures of your town. It would be awesome to see pictures of where you live and the things that go on there.

i second rachel's idea.

Martin, don't give up! I wanted to quit A LOT when I started this but I'm glad I actually followed through and now I'm half way in :D

@indiannie_jones lol! You are such a helpful girl!

Sorry about your bad week... maybe you could channel those feelings into some images? You could use some symbolic choices of color and/or objects to represent some ideas? I don't know, I struggle a lot too. Hope it gets better.

@spaceman @hopeless @laceyjogautreau I third the idea, but post one picture of your town that you would not take someone too and one area that you would take people to, then one where the locals hang out and an outsider wouldn't know about.

A taboo--let your mind go wild with that one...
November 18th, 2010

@clarissajohal LOL a taboo, heavens there's a challenge :-)!
@indiannie_jones You are always great in posts like this, it's good to have people like you in this community :)

@spaceman
I know some days this does not seem like fun at all, and I'm sure everyone on here goes through ups and downs (including me) so I hope you find some inspiration so you can enjoy posting again. I’d miss your photos and comments so it would be a real shame if you quit.

Theme: find beauty somewhere everyday for the next week. I did this around my town and started noticing even the flowers and shrubbery around banks and fastfood places. These things really make a place warm - made me more appreciative of the efforts of others.

@artistmichelle Thanks so much, Michelle :) that's really sweet of you!

something to do with colours. like making a rainbow out of things you can find around the house/garden
or
tomorrow -red
next day- blue
next day - green and so on

or ( this one is probably not so corny)
self portrait and triptych it wich a picture of the contents of your handbag or medicine cabnet or something personal like that

good luck, i hope whatever you choose it helps you take at least one step out of your rut.

I'm having the same problems. Think I'm going to try a rainbow for a week. :-) As in, different main colour a day for 7 days, not find a rainbow each day to photograph.

Is it possible for you to photograph something that expresses your mood. I looked at your last picture and your tags. And I looked at some of your other pictures and read your descriptions, and I think we may have the same mentality at times. And I have often wished I could capture how I was feeling in photos, often I take pictures of dead flowers when I'm feeling myself slide down. But I've been meaning to explore that side of me with photos a little more. I loved your collage picture. I have been dissatisfied with my pictures lately. I take picture after picture of the same thing, different settings, angles etc. and they all come out just okay. But not how I see them in my head. I've been totally frustrated. So I've gotten behind on my uploads. But I shouldn't stress over it, I ought to upload what I've got and ask people what I should have done to get the effect I was after. Instead, I stress over it, and tell myself I s*ck at photography, and my husband has to talk me out of it. We shouldn't talk to ourselves like that. Don't quit please, not when I've just found you...

If you're up to it, you can have a you-day and visit your favorite place. It could be your way of relaxing and a photo op as well.
