I have placed a "Logo" for lack of better terminology on my photos in my gallery. I was wondering if it works or is it more distracting. Please comment, as I have noticed not a lot of galleries place a logo or any sort.
Hi Jeff. I think your logo (or watermark) works fine. If you find it gets a bit distracting on a certain image you could adjusting the transparency of the logo. I watermark my photos and generally set the transparency somewhere between 10 and 30% depending on the photo, but I do prefer mine to blend in and be not too obvious. I love your logo by the way.
Thanks. And the wording "Watermark" is what I was looking for when I started the thread but it was to early in the morning for my brain to start working :)
haha umm....well I like the idea...but I think it could be better :) It is a good logo, but common! ya want the best!! ;) I agree with Dennis...maybe not to the extreme....but it is a little chunky.
Personally I don't worry about a watermark when the resolution is so small, such as on this site and on Facebook. If someone steals a 3x5" picture, they aren't going to be able to do much with it. I do watermark larger images that I sell, like on my Etsy site, and should probably do so on Flickr as well. Larger images can be used more easily and with better image quality than smaller ones.
