Oh yes... It helps to support Ross who runs this site from his bedrrom (well, study maybe :-)...) So it's def worth £15 or $20 ... Plus it gives you access to additional albums and picnik so I'd say yep... go for it.....
@kymmy@emhoff Ermm Not sure as I've been an ACE member since the beginning when the link to picnick wan't available then... back in the old days..... I think @eyebrows comment is more apt, it helps keep Ross and this site going so any and all help is appreciated
You also get access to creating extra albums with an ace membership, which I haven't used. I became a member to support the site, which I adore. Thank you, Ross!!
@kymmy@emhoff With Ace membership, once you've already uploaded the picture, you have a Picnik tool on the photo that allows you to make changes without having to delete the photo, upload to Picnik regularly and do it and then upload again.
YES. YES. YES. !!! Totally worth it!
You've got additional stats like seeing who faved you and which of your photos is the most faved, most viewed, etc. Also the picnik editing once your pic is already edited, like if you want to change something.
And up to 3 albums, which is GREAT because if you can't choose which pic you love the best, upload both!
That's all I can think of right now, I'll think of more I promise. I'm really glad I upgraded. I didn't even realize how much I was getting until I did it, and I was SO happy I did.
I rarely use the Picnik link, as it is just as easy to edit with Picnik before downloading, and I haven't yet started a second album, although I think I will . . . I do enjoy the stats a lot . . . but mostly I just think it's a small price to pay to support the site that I love so much!
Yes, it is very much worth it! I rarely use Picnik, but I very much value the support it lends to Ross. This site ROCKS and he does a bang up job administering it. (And I do like having an additional album as well.)
I have an ace and I do not use nor Picnik nor the possibility to upload more pictures. I find it a way to support and encourage Ross in this wonderful site.
it's not about getting anything for your money - at least not for me. I view it as helping to keep the site running. I am using their bandwidth/storage space for a whole year. yeah lots of sites offer it for free but I also pay for a pro flickr account. I just don't like taking things for free when it's something I value.
I think if you value you it, you should go ahead and pay for it. I don't even know what I get as an "ace" member- couldn't tell you what the difference is between that an a free membership. I don't care, I paid just to help support the site like I said. I don't anyone is getting rich on this thing but whatever is being made off of it probably helps offset alot of the cost which I imagine is not cheap. If I recall, I paid $20, hardly enough to make me think twice. I just feel good supporting the site and I have enjoyed being a member, have made alot of friends here, and value what has been provided by the site.
There's no right or wrong answer though, if you decide not to pay, it's fine too. It's totally up to you!
I was *this* close to signing up for an Ace account when I saw that they accept only Paypal. I can't remember my password for paypal, having used it only once and they were supposed to send me an email but it hasn't turned up.
I'd also like to support the site but at this point in time, it looks like being impossible.

... but I am so going to change my email account for Paypal. Grrrr.
