i am starting to think about my final image, as I am now 80+ percent done with my project. I have an idea of what I will be doing for it, and I have also seen a few great 365th images here and there. But no venue on the site for these imagers (at least not that I have seen).
I know many photogs who have started their projects and not even made it to the 10th day let alone the whole year. I think having a page, maybe similar to the popular page, would be a nice addition to the site. I know I would love to see what everyone else has done for their last picture. Anyone else like this idea? If it's already being done and I am someow missing the link, then I will just die of embarrassment :)
Love this idea, too! But "farewell" or "goodbye"?? -sniff- I'm really hoping folks will start another year--I'd miss too many people and their fantastic photography!

Wow, it does sound like a great idea! The very last picture should be commemorated because it really takes patience, resilience and commitment - amongst other things - in order to successfully complete this project. We can all be inspired from those who have finished. It would be great to see the difference from their first photograph to their last - especially for those who intent to improve their photography skills through this project. Also, it will give the community the opportunity to take part in congratulating those who reach 100%.
yaaay, so glad everyone likes the idea- maybe the powers that be will take me up on it! that would be wonderful - i'd love to see what everyone does for their last pic.
I think it's a good idea too. I think tagging the final photo with a simple "365" would probably be an idea in the meantime. In fact - and I say this just as I'm about to finish! - I think tagging every photo with the number of that day a good idea actually. I'll tag my final shot with a "365".
Actually, it'd be great if we could all agree on what to tag our final photos with (unless some site functionality appears). I suggest any, some or all of the following:
I've just discovered that the most "secure" tag for the final photo is "final photo"; "365" and "final" bring up all sorts of stuff. Some people are using "365" simply because it's a 365 project, so that's no good. And "final" brings up football photos, ha ha! At the moment "final photo" is just bringing up a grand total of one shot - mine!
Ok here is the problem though- unless everyone reads this thread, it's not going to be of any consequence. Not everyone is going to read it. I am wondering why can;'t there just be a tab like there is for the popular page or for new faces? I don't quite get the new faces tab because the drop out rate is so high - nothing against anyone who is new, it's great to encourage those who are new, but why not give the tab to those who have make it all way to the 365th picture?
By not reading it, I mean I have alraedy seen a few final pics that have not been tagged and I do not believe the members were even aware of this convo. So that is the problem with tagging... unless it is well known it is not really useful.
