Bugs Me.

January 7th, 2011
While looking through photos today I noticed a lot of them that are sideways. Is it really that hard to import them somewhere and make it so they are right side up. It really bugs me as they are so hard to look at. Does anyone else feel this way?

I'm forever telling my friends on facebook to ROTATE! it's annoying and I've got a kink in my neck now.

Don`t be quick to judge and think it is lazyness. I`m sure it`s an artistic way to represent the individuals view on todays sideways-society. It must be some kind of artistic metaphor. Definately not lazyness. It can`t be.

I noticed on FaceBook that even if my photos were the right way on my computer, it would always upload them as horizontal. I would have to manually rotate them in FaceBook, which was really annoying. I figure out that if I rotate them when I download them from my memory card, then when ever I upload them somewhere they upload in the right position. I've not had this problem on this site, and none of the people I follow seem to have that problem. But I wonder if it has something to do with what ever was making FaceBook do it.

I know what you mean... It's even easier to rotate on facebook than on here! There's a little button in the uploader!

Also, if you use the standard Windows Photo Viewer to view photos, pressing Ctrl+. rotates clockwise and Ctrl+, goes anticlockwise. Just in case anyone wants to know how. :-)

You can also right click and rotate in Windows Explorer.... (Commonly referred to as "My computer")

@spaceman Ever the optimist!

No negotiation. Always opt for rotation...Totally agreed...It is like undone times 1000 @lovemysailor02

This bugs me too! Glad its not just me. I think when people upload portrait style pics taken on their iphones etc., they are unable to rotate and thus they come out sideways. I didnt know you could rotate on facebook, but always make sure mine are the right way up before I upload anywhere so never needed to know. Useful advice for the future and to pass onto all tose sideways thinking people we know ;)
