@nikonlesley can't answer the instagram question but to be involved you need to follow people and take an interest in their images - people who's photos you like or that inspire you - taking part in challenges is also a great way to get involved in this wonderful community - have fun!

If I can stay consistent this time, maybe I'll have better luck with feedback and followers. Last year, I got a bit discouraged... So, this year I'm trying to make it a point to browse discussions, photos, and make sure I comment. Trying to join in on some themes, too. Hopefully I gain some new followers and it helps keep me encouraged!
