my wife bought me Adobe Creative Suite 5 yesterday. I went to install it in the computer and my cd/dvd drive will not work. I tried the button to eject the disc that is in there and nothing. Now I have to buy a new one. I was looking forward to the editing options!!! GRRRRR!!!!!!!!!
I know...right!?! I am going to buy my wife a new laptop this evening and I will pick up a new drive. It's not that they're all that expensive, it's just the fact that I want to use it now!!! LOL!!!
@dsdsnodgrass Did you try inserting a straightened paperclip into the little hole near the dvd tray? It is a safety open of sorts and sometimes that will unstick the drive. Just a thought....good luck!
Look under the disk drawer, you should see a tiny hole, just big enough to fit a straightened-out paperclip into. This will open the drawer so you can remove the disk. (apologies if you've already tried this)
Patience with electronics is not a strong point with me. Add to that I'm an instant gratification kinda person and I would be super annoyed! I feel for ya!
@dsdsnodgrass Download the free trial from adobe. Then use the Serial Numbers on the inside of the package to register it. Then you won't even have to deal with disks.
