I would just like to say a very big thank you to all my followers.. Not sure that this is the best way to do it, but here goes.
2011 has, so far, been fairly stressful for me. Getting all your fantastic comments has made it all seem so much better; I can't tell you how much it makes me smile when I read that I have a new follower, or that someone says they like my picture or writing.
Also, to cut a hideously long story short, I do a lot of things which I rarely get feedback from. It means so much to me that you find time to say such nice things, and it is helping my confidence and self-esteem no end!
So thank you 365ers for helping me to feel good about myself (no mean feat I can tell you!) and for giving me something positive I can work at. :)
you're doing a great job, kate, what with your very busy schedule. i am in awe of your 'greg' project and i always look forward to the end of my day so i can see what greg has done next. i am in agreement with everyone who has said that you should have this project turned into a book. i am going to show this to my two young grandsons who are visiting me right now and i am sure they will enjoy it.
keep it up, kate. you are an inspiration and i hope a lot more young people are like you. congratulations to your parents, for raising you well.
@katiegc24 I found you looking for fellow Norfolkers - and I've been an avid follower, I love your whole concept for your 365, and seeing your pictures of Greg always make me smile :)
2011 has been awful for me as well so far, and if I'm helping you in a small way to get through a similar thing, then all the better :)
You're doing a wonderful job. You brighten people's days. I'm a single mom and everyday I get home from work, the first thing my 4 yr old asks for is "Greg" It's wonderful to sit down every evening and show him what Greg did and read the lil stories to him. learning a new word a day too has been quite enjoyable.
I hope one day you make a coffee table book , because I would LOVE to buy one.
You're doing something great, keep it up and enjoy the process.
No, thank you. You are a breath of fresh air Kate - talented, pretty, funny and great with words. You are a credit to your generation, your parents should be very proud of you and I thoroughly enjoy being one of your 365 friends.
I quite honestly think you are onto a winner, your project always brings a smile to my face and I am sure I am not the only one, the year may have been stressful but I can see good things coming keep up the good work
Isn't this place awesome. I have had a crappy headache all week, and I felt more like fussing to my friends on 365 than my own mother. There is such a feeling of support here. I too love your Greg project, and think you are doing great!! You keep all of us waiting every day. Keep up the good work. We're glad you're here too.
I love following Greg's adventures! You're doing a great job and Greg always makes me smile. Keep up the good work, stay positive, and don't let the stress get to you.
Thank you Kate! I look forward to your posts every day. They always make me smile and laugh! You're writing is wonderful and I love finding the new word for the day. I think you're doing an amazing job with your theme! You're inspiring :)
Kate, as you probably know, I also found you as a fellow Norfolk 365er & echo the sentiments expressed above. The fun & creativity of your project is just brilliant!
It's a great place we have here, full of help, friendliness & support. Together we can make something special & unique of 2011.
I echo all of the above. Especially the part about your parents. As a parent of small children, I can only aspire that my girls will turn out as smart, funny, and talented as you. I am taken aback to hear on a rather regular basis that your self esteem is lacking...you MUST fix that because you have an INCREDIBLE future ahead of you and you MUST be confident to achieve all that you aspire to.
@katiegc24 Just wanted to let you know my daughters decided they wanted to do their own 365 project and seeing yours inspired them to do a story about an animal....i can't wait till the end I plan to make theirs into books.
@summerfield - Thank you so much.. I feel like I am always saying that on here.. probably because everyone is just so nice and I can't thank you all enough for the amazing things you say! What do your grandsons think of Greg?
@minxymissk - It's great to find other Norfolkians on here.. I was surprised to find any if I'm honest! Thank you for your support.. it's mostly just been quite stressful so far, but hopefully going to get better now. I hope your year improves soon!
@eholle - Please do! I really can't express my thanks enough to everyone who comments on my photos and says such nice things about my project.
@melmellow - Thank you very much :) I am glad he likes Greg; I'll try to keep it clean and child-friendly for you :P I will definitely be making something of Greg's adventures this year.. probably a book of some kind. I will let you know in January next year :)
@kjarn - That is possibly one the the greatest compliments I have ever had.. Again, thank you so much! I enjoy being your 365 friend too :)
@asrai - Thank you :) I am hoping it'll get better now.. and I am terrible at sticking at things til the end.. hopefully I'll manage with this..!!
@petersonsheri - I hope it's worth it after all the waiting! :P descriptions of the last two days will be up shortly. Everyone on here is so supportive and kind and friendly.. I love it!
@dawnie - I am trying to stay positive.. and you are all helping me to do that! Thank you.. I am glad he is making you smile. He certainly makes me smile sometimes! (although sometimes he can be very frustrating.. all the crazy things he asks me to do to get photos of him.. :P )
@nikimarie - Thank you :) the writing is half the fun of it! I love coming up with the stories behind the photos.. although as the words get harder the stories get crazier; trying to fit some weird word to do with shining, or ancient documents into a description of a rubber duck can be tough :P
@sburbidge - 2011 is definitely going to be good. I am looking forward to getting to know everyone on here better, and maybe do some meets in London with the other 365ers from the UK.
@Cherrill - We have indeed! Thank you.. I couldn't believe it when I heard about it.. had to find it on iPlayer yesterday! Just suddenly got a lot of texts and facebook messages saying that Greg and I were on tv! :O awesome!!
@pete21 - Thank you :) it means a lot that you look at it.. although comments are appreciated it is great to know that people really do look, and read my descriptions etc.. makes it all worth it :)
@mwest - I will tell my dad that :) I don't really know what to say; you always comment on my photos and you always say really nice things.. so thank you, from the bottom of my heart thank you, it's amazing that you want your daughters to be like me.. I honestly don't know how to reply to that!!
@mkraemer - I am glad they like the idea and have been inspired to do something similar.. if they want any ideas for theirs from Greg then please just ask.. or if they have any suggestions for him then they are more than welcome! Books of them are a great idea.. thank you for telling me, it's so nice to hear about that! Let me know how they get on :)
@kjarn - Excellent ;) it will be a lot better when I have time to spend on making it interesting.. sorry about the lack of stuff on there at the moment!
No need to keep things clean. I read it before I read to him. I can always change what it says lol ... Plus pix next to drinks is no biggie lol I do love my wine !
P.S As i Was browsing facebook today someone status read " I wonder what Greg has done today" EPIC
@melmellow - hahahaha you are joking!!! That is awesome!!!
Ok so I don't have to try to hard.. but it would definitely spoil it if it got too 'dirty' wouldn't it.. it's fun and innocent and that's the way it's staying.. although on my 18th he is definitely having some shots to himself :P
@katiegc24 - my grandsons absolutely love greg as soon as i showed them your project. they're 8- and 6 year-olds. they wanted to see more of him so they browsed greg's facebook page. and the 6-year old can't stop telling anyone who'd listen to him about greg. i think you have a superstar in the making right there.
@summerfield - Awwwwww, that is adorable! I am so glad they like him.. I am going to improve his facebook page soon, there will be descriptions and information etc.. haven't had the time what with the pantomime and everything but I will update it soon.. make sure you watch out for that and show it all to them :D
@katiegc24 - we'll be watching out for it, but we understand that your schooling comes first. try to pace yourself so you don't get stressed (and greg, too!). take care.
@summerfield - That is very understanding of you :) I should have time to sort Greg out on Tuesday or Wednesday evening.. He has been rather slack recently, especially with his descriptions, so we are hoping to be back on track in a couple of days!

However, Greg now has a facebook page.

I believe that is correct. I will complete the page/upload the rest of his photos and spare photos (there are a lot of them!) tomorrow.

He will have a girly duck.. maybe on valentine's day, as a date :P
Definitely yay for shots XD
cheers to you and to greg!
