I love taking photos of doors. The older the better. The more nostalgic, the more interesting the story behind each one. Have you any door photos to share? I'd love to see them. Here's a collage I put together using some of my door photos. My own front door is one of 'em. =)
I took a photo back in November while I was in Yemen for the very first time. This door belonged to the house of my great grandfather. It's located on a street that was owned by my great grandfather while he was alive. The house is currently vacant and is owned by my aunt who lives in Yemen.
@interludephotos I've been considering doing a similar idea... how did you get it to do the collage? I've been picking out doors all over town, and i would love to be able to view them all at the same time like that. :)
@interludephotos I love doors and yet, oddly enough, I find I have none (that I've posted) in my 365 project. Your collage is FANTASTIC!! Incredible work. And a fun thread.
I love taking photos of doors I took loads in 2010 with a view to doing an Advent Calendar on a different website, but for various reasons that never happened!
My favourite was in Moreton in Marsh in the Cotswolds - maybe I will return and take another pic of it. Meanwhile, this is the only picture of a door that I have posted to date.....
and then there's this one.
@kimsuarez love that capture!
I took this whilst on a walk in the countryside....it was locked :(
i love old doors and windows too!
P.S. I have seen your door collage before, and I think it is absolutely fantastic. And great door shots, everyone!
