Look close, the castle is still in the lower photo, along with a pair of Geese. This is Boldt Castle on the St. Lawrence River, upstate New York. Photo's as taken no editing done

Cloud Edit:
Fog/mist is actually ground level Stratus Cloud (ranges from 0-1500 ) feet.
Officially you can see up to 1-2km in mist, but no more than 1km in fog! (which is effectively thick mist)
Formed when air is cooled enough by its proximity to the ground for its moisture to condense into water droplets.
