There was a thread a while back that posed the question "What does your calendar say about you?" I found it interesting, and obviously you can tell something about the artist through their work, if they let you. I also find it very telling to look through someones favorites. Not sure if I'm the only one.
I'm curious, what do you think YOUR favorites say about you?
Hmmm, just looked through mine and definitely see a theme of washed out colours and desolation! I'm also quite picky it seems as i only have a few.
You are surely a portrait lover Jenn?
Mine say I love incredibly detailed macro shots, as well as shots that are creative, e.g. interesting long-exposures, or shots where it's obvious that a lot of effort has gone into composing and making the shot. And that I like bokeh, and bright/bold colours, and cats. :D
@ Craigy, I actually looked at yours a day or two ago and I noticed the same theme! hehe.
I didn't notice the portrait theme with mine, but I just looked and I'm like "yeah whoa I do have a bunch of those..." heh. Subconsciously, perhaps?
I can however tell you exactly in detail why I favorited each and every one of the photo's I favorited. I consider myself fairly choosy too....but not a perfectionist. :)
I doubt that there's anyone more OCD than I am...I see it...I love it...I nab it! So much of what you all do I don't want to lose, but now my folder's so big, I may never get to the bottom of it again!
ROSS: is it possible to have a page of about 25-30 small thumbnails to go with what we have already? I love to reference the pictures & share with friends, but sometimes I'm scrolling through 20 pages to find one I know is there... Possibly everyone is more judicious than I am...It's just that I love what you all do so very much!
I definitely love cats...vintage items...shabby chic/chippy paint...victorian...flowers...dogs, birds, animals...squirrels, of course...and your selfies, my many friends!
I don't know what my favorites say about me, because sometimes I fave a picture because of the quality of the shot, and sometimes because of the subject...
this is quite interesting. I never really thought about it. i just "fav" the photos I fell in love with. but now that you mentioned it, I looked at my favs, they are mostly the nature scenery shots and some portraits: things that i know I either don't have the good enough camera to shoot (awesome macro shots)or i don't get to see ( nature shots), or i'm just not good at it (portraits for one thing). they are completely different from the stuff I like to take photos the most. very interesting indeed. does the "opposite attraction" rule applies here too, at least in my case, i guess? :)
Mine say that I like colour, vibrancy, people, children, babies, friends, family, animals, architecture, art, flowers, water, nature, new perspectives and newbies to 365, creativity, anything that I wouldn't have thought of myself, anything that I can't do with my little point and shoot, anything that inspires me and/or strikes my fancy, anything that I can personally relate to, and anything that makes me stop and take a first, second, third look, and more.
