Just curious if there is a certain criteria these monkeys are looking for or if the popular page is by random selection or really how are those pictures chosen? If there really are people selecting them, how are these people selected? Just really curious. I love looking at the pictures there and have found some great people to follow because of it. I'm on day 18 of my project and have had 3 pictures so far on the popular page. It does feel good to see your picture there and just really curious if my picture was really chosen or just got lucky in a random draw.
Can we see a photo of these wonderful, intelligent Monkeys picking out the photos? Pretty Please!!!!

I believe one of the mods told us a while back, in another discussion, that these photos are chosen automatically based on the number of times a photo is viewed and how many comments and/or favorites it has received. I don't remember precisely what was said, but it's something like that.
My opinion...the pictures that get selected are often just darned good pictures! Look at the browse page at any given time...then look at the popular page... There's definitely some cherry picking going on, but it's like a little gift...I don't think it's something to pick apart... Keep doing what you've been doing, Monkeys... it's a great place to see some wonderful photo choices, leave comments, and often get to know someone new. It's like Faith...just believe in it...

Ashley is correct to a certain extent and I'm pretty sure Ross (the owner of the website) even confirmed this ages and ages ago as been bought up on the forums quite a few times this year. But at the same I've seen the odd one up thats only been a few times, so does seem strange.
