Im starting to dry up in terms of ideas. ive been doing 365 since february and im starting to get into a rut and not sure how to get out of it. all i seem to do is take is macro shots of flowers and i think im probably capable of more. i like to think im someone who thinks outside the box and has some fairly creative ideas but i dont think recent photos convey this. can you offer me some ideas of photos i could take and how to take them a bit better with the basic camera i have (not that im blaming my tools in any way as theres nothing wrong with them!).

The artist challenge helps me get inspired. Have you downloaded any free trials of editing software? That can be fun to play with. Have you played with www.picnik.com? When the blahs get to me, I just find something in my day that made me happy or smile. Good luck with getting out of the rut. I have one every month and I know it can be frustrating. Just keep clicking.

I recently did an A to Z challenge. It definitely got me out of my "normal" stuff. If you search around here there are a few threads with ideas. Also try going for a walk in a new location and take your camera. Take your camera out on errands.

I know at times when I hit the "What am I going to do for today?" my husband reminds me that this project is to document your daily life.

I think we all go through phases of being uninspired/having little time but that's ok. As @lolanae Brandy says it is also a diary so when you look back it gives you an idea of what's actually happening in your life at the time. I take a lot of macro flower shots but I also like to mix things up with other shots like landscapes and inside shots. Take a look round your home. Have you any interesting ornaments? What about trying some water shots or macros of everyday objects which could be quite abstract? What about some candid shots? I'm sure you'll come through your lack of inspiration and start being creative again :o)

Here are three additional ideas: Try the The Daily Shoot (web site). This site lists a daily theme assignment. On this project, someone listed ideas for a 30 day challenge. I have considered going to the tag page and going through them in order, one a day. I hope these ideas help.

Sometime when I'm low on ideas, I distract myself from worrying about what I'm going to take a picture of, by spending some time on 'Browse by Day' enjoying looking at all the fab photos that other people are posting .. and allow my 'creative well' to be re-filled with the sheer enjoyment of a good photo .. and then a bit later I'll take a photo! :o)

Try a challenge~ I'm doing this one http://365project.org/discuss/general/6112/30-day-challenge. It pretty much tells you what to take pictures of each day. ~ I felt kinda in a rut started this project just ten days ago and I can't wait to be done with it to get back to my normal nature shots! lol~

Good luck finding inspiration!
