The first thing to do is follow some people, look on the popular page and see some shots you like. Ask questions about people's shots and how they did it, that's what I do and hopefully I'm improving.
The search bar is your friend. Search every word or phrase you can think of, then go to the discussions they produce...usually very informative results.
Definitely follow those who have what you like. I chose some who have similar and some who are way better and then some that are so not like me so I can try new things. Very helpful people if you have a question.
Welcome to the project! You have an awesome camera. I think some of the best advice I can give you is to take the time to browse around, comment, follow, and fave as much as you can. that way you will be more likely to recieve comments, follows, and faves in return :)
and a little tip... this isn't Facebook (duh!) so if you want someone specific to see your comment, click on reply so they know you replied to them. (not necessary if it THEIR discussion or photo)
