Some of the Ace Members may have already noticed a new page has appeared for them in the Browse section of the site.
The new section, Suggestions, is the latest little project I've been working on, it aims to suggest photos to you based on what you like. It goes through your fav's, friends and comments and tries to work out the type of photos you like, then it goes off and scours the archives to find your own unique suggestions.
I love finding those little gems that go unnoticed, hopefully this tool will help you find more of what you love too.

This is a great idea Ross. Most of mine seem to be people I'm already following though, which is a bit disappointing as I've already seen those ones. I'll see what tomorrow's suggestions bring :-) I like the "Recently Viewed" part at the bottom too.

Thanks for the feedback. A lot of the suggestions are based around your friends friends, so maybe the 365 social circle you are in is quite small or circular. Thanks for letting me know, as I say this is an iterative process, I'll be improving it all the time.
A very nice enhancement but on first examination, the pictures chosen for me would rarely have been my choice. However, I will keep checking back to see further suggestions offered.
Thanks for selecting my recent photo, Ross. I already received a comment letting me know you'd started this thread. I think it's a nice idea to have these extras for the ace members and hope they draw more people in to sign up. I'm so glad we can show our support in this manner, and thank you for the "treats" in return!
I had another idea that I have seen used successfully on other sites. Let the individual give a thumbs up or thumbs down to the suggestions offered, which will then lead to better choices. I don't know how this works or what algorithm is used, but apparently it can be pretty accurate.
I am still finding that the suggestions are keeping very close to the people I am already following. Yes, the people I follow are circular, because I found a lot of them by looking at the following lists of the people I follow. The page also keeps suggesting lighthouse pics to me. I suspect that is because my top photo in the stats is a lighthouse. Unfortunately, that is my only lighthouse, and not my best photo. That a picture becomes a top photo shows other people's opinion, not my opinion. Thank you for the page. It does give me a starting place.
@dmariewms yeah, if you are in a circle of friends that will happen, try checking out the themes and the discussions to find cool people to follow, that's how i do it. Also see the Top 20's on the blog and the popular page.
Your lighthouse doesn't have any reflection on the fact that it is suggesting lighthouses, maybe one of your friends keeps faving pics of lighthouses?
