I posted last week about how our family dog was taken to the vet because she wasn't feeling too well. She stopped eating or drinking anything and she was also nauseous. She had gone to the vet earlier but came back home with medication and we had to force feed her. But she just didn't seem to get better. On the 21st she continued to fall over and that's when we took her in again.
She had so many test taken as the vets tried to figure out what the problem was. They thought she may have had different sicknesses and diseases; including diabetes and cancer.
Tonight, Marley was put down.
Thank you to all those who sent their words of encouragement and hopes that she would get better.
My heart goes out to you and I am so so very sorry for your loss. Thinking of you and your family at this heartretchingly difficult time, god bless Marley RIP x
@annaruth :'( I am so not looking forward to that part of having our wonderful little Maggie. Like you, we have had other pets, but Maggie came into our empty nest, and totally captured our hearts.
@annaruth I'm so sorry to hear about your dog. I know that it was a terribly difficult decision to make, but it's so much better when they are suffereing. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this sad time. I hope that the good memories of your beloved Marley will help you through the sorrow.
Thank you all for your kind words. They truly do lift my spirit.
Marley was a dog we had found over 6 years ago while going for a jog. She followed us about 2 or 3 blocks. When we turned around to go home is when we had noticed she had been following us. We grabbed her to check her out (to see if she was okay and if she had tags) but were startled to find that she was very malnourished.
She was taken to the vet then and brought back to life. From then on, she was a part of the family. Within the last 3 years, she also got to love the newest family members (my nieces) and they sure loved her back.
Very sorry on the loss of your best friend. It's so hard losing a pet, and I feel your pain. Hope your sweet memories help you through this difficult time.
i love my dogs too ......
