My Dear Charlie! Thirteen Years Old and a wily creature. Since Pumpkin was hit by a car the cat flap has been locked so it is on in only. No problem for Charlie one claw hooks it towards him he nudges his head under and out he goes. Poor Pumpkin looks on in admiration. Sadly I get very few decent shots of Charlie :oD

What a great discussion thread . . . I am an animal shelter volunteer and can well attest to the backup of black cats we get, especially this time of year. They sit at the shelter the longest before finding a home, yet are possibly the sweetest of all kitties!

@hoosierhokie that is the kind of comb I need for my cat Milo he looks very similar to your Buster! It amazing how much fur they have even after you brush them!! I love your pictures btw they are so cute!!!

@mrstfeeley216 - Thanks, Emily! I love that cat comb, but Buster hates it. It does a great job of getting out the knot-making hair but it's not the massaging kind that Buster prefers.

@hoosierhokie Your Welcome!! I need one cause Milo has lots of fur thankfully he doesn't get to knotted up but he is a indoor cat but I would like to get more into his coat then i can with my current comb. Is it a specific kind of brush??

@mrstfeeley216 - Milo is adorable - I love the white wiskers!!! My cats are indoor cats as well, but some cats just knot up more than others. Daisy has never had a knot ever and she's as old as Buster. As for the comb, I don't know that it has a brand, but the comb I have has tines that look like "J" on the end. Reminds me of Wolverine's claws (if you've ever seen "X-Men"). The tines get to the under-fur which is what causes most knots.
