Hello, new member to the site.

December 29th, 2011
Hi All,

I am new to this site and would like to Introduce myself. My Name is Ronnie and my username here is Snaggleture. I reside in Americas Finest City (San Diego). I have had an interest in Photography for awhile but have only been Shooting for about a Year.

I am interested in starting a or few 365 Projects. I plan on using an Ipad 1 to post my photos through the application available through the iTunes App Store. I also have a computer to post through but find it more convienient to post through my iPad.

I am looking to purchase an Ace Membership. Would I be able to access and post Photos to all three of my Albums through the Application?

Currently I downloaded the Free Version of the Application. Would it be necessary for me to purcahse the upgraded Application that cost .99 ?

Would I be able to access the forums or edit my profile through the available applications on my iPad?

As stated above, I am using the Free Version of the Application and cannot edit my bio or information on the application. Is this because I am using the Free Version?

I am very impressed with the community on this site and can't wait to post my first photo(s). I am thinking of putting my first post up 12/31/2011 or 01/01/2012.

Currently I am shooting with a Canon Rebel XTI (400D) and an iPod Touch 4th Generation. I plan on purchasing a Canon 60D once I save my Milk Money.

Any info would be highly appreciated. Pros and Cons of posting through my tablet and the use of the 365 application (free and paid). I did search and try to read as much as possible on the forums here before starting this thread.

Thank You and Have a Wonderful Day

Welcome! You can still have a bio using the free version. Go to You at the top and you'll get a drop down menu. You'll be able to edit your bio in settings. I sometimes use an iPad for browsing this site and you can see and enter in the discussions but I don't use it for uploading pictures so can't help there.

Welcome! Look forward to seeing you shots! I don't use an Ipad but I do use my iphone a bit and have no problems uploading from it. I ended up getting an ACE membership because I think this site is wonderful and I'm happy to support it for a nominal fee, and you get a few extras and more flexibility. Enjoy! DaniG

@snaggleture Hi, I have used my iPad 1 to upload and edit my photos alot on his project. You don't need the ace membership but you will only get one album with the free version. Give it a go :-)

@snaggleture hi Ronnie, the app on the Apple App store is not related to this website, so you wont be able to use it for uploading here. Good luck with your project.

Welcome to 365!

I can't answer your technical concerns, but as far as Ace membership goes I joined to support the site and I'm happy I did. The three albums are nice, being able to read my stats about my photos is good, and the free membership with Picnik has been helpful a couple of times.

I hope you come to feel a part of the 365 community. It's really so much more than take a photo a day. It's a place to share with others, give and receive support and ideas, get through those inevitable slumps, and share the good and the bad. Welcome.

My first bit of advice would be that I know with my iphone, when I take a portrait layout and send it directly with no edits from my phone it comes in sideways (but not from my computer). For some reason it really likes landscape mode and you will need to remember to save in an app like ps express prior to sending.

My second bit of advice is to NOT limit yourself to one camera, one style of programs and not make too many rules. 365 days is a long time to lock yourself into one concept. Enjoy this as much as you can and if you take a photo with a point and shoot or even a dslr then be happy with that, it is fun to learn so many new techniques and concepts here.

Apps people love here Pano, Slow Shutter, Iris, Snapseed, Tilt shift, Hipstamatic, Color Magic, and Dynamic Light.

Also the best way to get the most out of this project is to follow people, comment on their photos, join in disucssions, themes, competitions and postings. I think you get out of this exactly what you put in.

I hope you have a great year.
