Album Cover Challenge 4

March 28th, 2012
Thanks so much to those of you who voted for my cover. Have been happy dancing for the past few days!

So, are the creative juices still flowing? We’ll try another round and I'll let it run for 2 weeks.

Here's how it works:

1. Go to wikipedia and hit 'random article' on the left. The first random wikipedia article you get is the name of your band.

2. Go to quotationspage.com and hit 'random quotes' on the left. Scroll down. The last 4-6 words of the very last quote of the page is the title of your album.

3. Now go take a photo that fits with your album!

4. Use photoshop or similar to put it all together.

5. Share your image (or images, you can do as many as you like) with us by tagging it with 'albumcoverchallenge4'!

This challenge will run until APRIL 11. There is no limit to the number of entries you can make, just make sure to tag them as instructed above.

To share an entry in the thread, go to your uploaded image and find the area under your photo data that says "Share". Copy the code from the box and paste it in the discussion thread here. You can use a previously shot image or one you shoot just for this competition, but you MUST use your OWN images!!

Have fun! :)

@monika64 Great quote you got Monika! Wonderful processing - very moody look for this cover. I love that girl hitching up her sleeve!

Happy with what I got...think it works

@onie Lovely selective colouring Leonie! It's a gorgeous blue and I love how you have the grass in the foreground.

@tulipgirl
I didn't actually selective colour for this one!! I think it's just that the blue is so vivid, it pops all by itself. I didn't write down what I did, but I think I just added the pale vignette, and added some shadows, and that's how it turned out!

I did wonder actually Leonie, thought maybe you didn't, it's just the background having such a lovely washed out feel. It's great!

my entry - I slightly cheated because the first wiki article was something like "South Korean National Football Team Results - 1980s" so I went for the second which was "Robert Presslie" no cheat on the quote, its from Noel Coward and the full quote is "The higher the buildings the lower the morals"
