This is the thirty-seventh official Monday of this challenge!
This is a competition that starts on Monday and lasts the whole week. Make a self-portrait every week, based on a new theme.
The new theme will be posted on Monday.
This last week was all about darkness. Had a little communication-problem with Jesse, so I picked the winner and it's Brendan Maunder( @agima ) with this dark and mysterious picture:

I loved all your takes on last weeks theme, there were so many sides of darkness portrait!
This weeks selfies must be based on Brendans choice: Light!
He said: "As I do a lot with lighting I think if I have to judge it should be about lighting and usual ways to light subjects so as to bring drama and feeling into the photo..
For example the photo I took on this day: here The lighting was not my creation but is changed the whole look and feel of the subject.
Other example of how to use light is to stand in front of a cars headlights with the lights putting a rim of lights around the subject. You can use light in many different ways and it doesn't need to be light from strobes.
For example in this I used a small touch as the main light source. torch
People can use what ever light source they like but it has to had to he image in some way.
I don't expect technically correct lighting just some for of lighting.
If people want to do some study on the subject they can Google terms like "fill light" "hair light" and "rim light" and the sun can be used in some incredible ways.
Happy to give any pointers or CC any images so they can improve for a retake. The aim of the game is that by the end people will have learned more about lighting and how it can be used in a photo to enhance it and more importantly the subject/story they want to tell."
This looks like me like we could learn and experiment a lot this week!
And this weeks selfies are again also date-restricted. You only can take and post them until late Saturday evening or Sunday morning, depending on where you live! Then Brendan will pick the winner and he or she can choose the new theme for next week.
You can post your self-portrait in this thread and tag it with monday-sp37 .
