Brilliant idea - this could be the longest running thread if it takes off!! @rufus430@kaynadog It would be interesting to know why these people were chosen if you happen to know?
Good idea, I live next to the Sailing events Olympic Village so pretty exciting for me. It's not down here until July, maybe tag photo's "Olympic-torch"?
@judithg I've added the address of the Torch area of the London 2012 website to the original post. I tried adding a proper link, but only succeeded in deleting most of my original post - doh!

@38mm I've added your tag suggestion to the original post too - good idea.
On 3rd June between 6.22 when it reaches Holywood and 6.49am when it reaches Bangor - provided it goes along the main road I will hopefully see it. Here's hoping the day is good and it doesn't go along the coast road.
Love this idea. They are in our area on my eldest son Callum's birthday (22nd July) so we're definetely going to try and go see. Look forward to seeing all the shots.
Hi there, I woke up early to see it pass my parents place. Plymouth. Don't know who the torchbearer is, but he looked shattered after a mile of walk...though he did start off with a steep hill followed by a moderately steep hill!
@kaynadog I'm clueless about tagging etc. so was just going with the the flow really. I thought an underscore was the only way to link two words as a phrase/name - it seems to be used the same way in alot of the other tagged stuff.
@pandorasecho My partner was there as he works there alot & has photos from a couple of spots there, though his pic I've seen of the bailoon is more of a silhouette really. I'll see if he minds me linking to them for you.
Anyone in Dunsville area? A friend of mine is running with the torch there in a couple of days. She is scheduled for a 1:32 pm start Tuesday the 26th on High Street (A18) near Park Lane Close to Broadway. Looks like this is roughly N 53° 33.849 W 1° 1.295. She is a tall redhead named Katie. I just think it would be pretty darn cool if someone from Seattle can line up an unknown person to get a picture of someone in the UK. The internet is pretty amazing.

The torch in Droitwich, Worcestershire.
