Movement
I decided for this challenge, I would pick a rule that is very difficult for me to break... the rule of active space. The rule of active space is that, when photographing a moving subject, you should place more empty space in front of the object than behind it. So for this challenge, you will be leaving more space BEHIND the subject, causing the subject to be moving out of the frame. This can create a sense of speed, urgency, or just plain interest in seeing what was left behind. You can be creative and think outside of the box too when it comes to "moving object"
(2) For consideration in this contest, entries must be taken and posted during the contest period and tagged with btr-activespace
(3) If you prefer NOT to use this contest as inspiration for your daily project, you may POST the photo entry to any date on your calendar, as long as the EXIF shows the capture date to be within the contest dates.
You can share your images in this discussion thread by copying the code below "SHARE" on your project photo page and pasting it in the discussion box here.
Though the subject being on the way out of the photo wasn't so much a conscious artistic decision as just a factor of when I captured the shot... I think it worked out okay here??
@davidlouw I won't know which shots will be finalists until the contest closes, but if that's the back end of the caterpillar thing, then it meets the criteria for btr
See how I go with this - may or may not get a chance to do it :D
just wondering if this image would make the cut?
