WINNER - Very First Technique Challenge

April 2nd, 2013
Congratulations to Darjas the winner of the very first Technique Challenge featuring Low-Key! It is now up to you to set-up and host Technique Challenge 2.
These challenges can cover a wide range of topics such as doing portraits, landscapes, special effects such as low-key, or even post processing techniques, etc.
Usually the challenges last for 1 week (I kept the last one an extra day because of Easter). Voting can be 1 - 3 days depending on the response.

Thank you all so much. It means a lot to me. Thank you for the votes. I've been thinking about what would be a real challenge. So I would pick Motion Blur Photography. It's available to everyubody. At the street, at home... almost at every place you are.

@darjas Sounds good - Motion Blur is what Northy is covering in the Camera Settings Challenge which will end on Thursday - http://365project.org/discuss/themes-competitions/17113/camera-settings-challenge-23
It is a fun technique and sounds like a great challenge

@darjas
Under the themes and Challenges you start a thread that says
Technique Challenge - #2 - XXXX (subject of theme)
Below is some of the wording you can use.
Run the challenge for 7 days and provide pointers and tips along the way.
The object is more of a learning experience than a competition.
Voting should last 1 - 3 days - there were so many votes for you that no one could catch up so I ended it after 1 day. If it is close and the voting keeps going then go up to 3 days.

Provide examples and links

Technique Challenge #XXX – XXXXX
Ready for some fun, creativity and perhaps to learn something new? So what is a technique challenge? The host challenger selects a specific “technique” to try. It may be brand new for some, or just a challenge to be creative for others. Techniques may include high/low key, macro, portraits, landscapes, abstracts, the possibilities are endless. It could even be specific techniques in processing. The host will select a technique along with some links and examples. Constructive & kind feedback is encouraged. Feel free to share tips, suggestions or how you were able to get the terrific photo you did. Posting your photo on this thread is encouraged but not required. The challenges will last about 7 days.
To post a photo on this thread:
1) Go to your page that has the photo you would like to post.
2) Find the code located toward the bottom right side of your page. The code is on the right side of the word "share". Copy that code and paste it in this thread.
All photos must be taken within the challenge dates. Enter as many as you would like. Afterwards there will be a vote. The winner will host a new challenge (or gets someone else to host it).
This week’s technique challenge is XXXXXX. Explanation of technique: TAG your photos “ techniqueX “ (X=number)
Here is an article I found on XXX – if you find others please feel free to share.
