@altadc you can start it as soon as you pick an artist, usually it is best to run these for about 10 days, then there are a few days for voting . just start a discussion in the themes and competitions page, make sure you put a little bit of information about your artist and some links to get people started looking at their work , you can look up some old artist challenges to see how its been done before.
